Kaiser

A low whistle makes Lora jolt away from me, I turn to the side and glare at Theo who looks smug as ever.

"I should have recorded that." he feigns a disappointed sigh.

"I'm so glad you lost your chance to blackmail me." I sound as smug as he looks.

His eyes narrow as he pins me with a glare, "I'll get the video from the CCTV footage,"

"Fuck you," I curse, I forgot he could do that for a second.

"I don't think I'm the one you should be saying that to." He grins, I grab an ornament from the tree and hurl it at him, "Shut the fuck up,"

"Theo!" Lora gasps when he winces, grabbing the side of his head.

"Dramatic motherfucker," I mumble under my breath as Lora gets off the floor to go to Theo.

He then lifts up the cardboard box in his hands, claiming it to be Lora's Christmas gift, Theo pulls her to the couch to explain what it was. I tune him out completely, the box he held looked like the trackers he had built a year ago.

I zone out their conversation and avert my focus onto the drawing in my hand. I felt stupid to believe Lora when she said she didn't sketch often. Although I knew it was true, it didn't look like that.

I tear my gaze away from the paper in my hand to Astrella. She was laughing about something that Theo said.

To be fair, she laughed a lot, she would have laughed even if Theo said nothing because that was the kind of person she was.

But above all, I wished time would just freeze at this moment so I could keep staring at her smiling like that.

"Kaiser? Earth to Kaiser, hello!" Theo swings an empty cardboard box at me.

I glare at him, "What? You were daydreaming about Ella." He shrugs.

I hurl the box back, "Shut up."

"I am going to the club." Theo announces.

"Who the fuck goes to the club on Christmas?" I sound just as judgemental as I look.

"Lonely, single people." Theo answers pointedly, "And for how confident you sounded saying that, it's officially not Christmas anymore. It's thirty past twelve." He adds on condescendingly.

"Okay, oh omniscient one, get lost." I shoo.

I didn't want him here anyway.

Theo left me and Lora alone as soon as he changed into one of his club outfits. To be fair, anything he wore could classify as that but since none of us were planning to leave the house he had dressed comfortably.

"Do you want to go out too?" I blurt out as soon as Theo drives off the driveway,

"To the club? Theo just left, I don't have the right clothes and-" she stares down at her sweatpants as she speaks before I cut her off, "No. Just, outside."

"Outside?" she repeats, tilting her head to the side in confusion.

I nod, "Like a drive."

"Theo just took the car though," she points outside.

I dig into my pants to retrieve the keys to my, well, Kenzo's bike. Lora stares at the key curiously, "It's-" I clear my throat, "A bike."

"You know how to ride a bike?" she perks up, staring at me with enthusiastic eyes.
