hondo walks into the gym area where he finds his team waiting for him. When they notice him walk in they all look at him waiting to know what he found out about buck coming back.
hondo: buck got fired so we are getting a replacement
luca: they can't just fire him can they
hondo: apparently they can and they have the new guy will be coming in shortly
tan: who is it
hondo: some kid from long beach
chris: long beach?
hondo: ye why?
chris: nothing just grew up there. I know people
deacon: you make it sound like a bad thing or you know criminals
chris: no i know police. I can ask around if you want
luca: ye
hondo: no need he should be in soon if he isn't late
meanwhile street had entered hq and gone up to hicks office he had never been inside but he knew the building as he had picked chris up a couple times and now he was excited to work swat with her, now he just needed to tell her that without her getting mad at him. He reached hicks office and knocked on the door after he did he heard a voice inside telling him to come inside so he did.
hick: officer street correct?
street: yes sir
hicks: ok lets introduce you to the team
street: which team is it?
hicks: 20 squad
street: oh god
hicks: what you got an issue with them
street: no, no issue just i know someone on the team
hicks: who?
street: chris alonso
hicks: won't be a problem right
street: oh no me and chris are best friends no romance involved
hicks: good
they were walking to where the team was as they talked so by the end they had reached them and so far chris hadn't seen him which was good for him but then they made eye contact and he smiled shyly and shrugged his shoulders as if to say sorry and chris smiled at him. hicks had finished introducing him and told him to meet his teammates they all came up and greeted him then only chris was left.
street: your not even gonna say hi
chris: you're an idiot you know that right
street: of course i do you tell me enough times
then she comes over and hugs him and he hugs back obviously then after the pull back chris hits him on the shoulder
chris: why the hell didn't you tell me
street: i wanted to suprise you and i did didn't i
chris: you did
hondo: ok so someone wanna tell me what is going on
chris: i told you i know people and jim happens to be one of those people
deacon: how do you know each other
luca: ye you guys seemed pretty cosy a minute ago
chris: jim is my best friend and roommate you have all seen him before
tan: how?
chris: he owns a motorbike
luca: he's motorcycle guy
chris: yep
street: i have heard a lot about all of you chris speaks very highly of you all
luca: oh really
tan: does she now
chris: see this is why i never let you *pointing at street* meet you two *pointing at tan and luca*
street: so your not happy i work here

deacon: how did you two meet
street: school
chris: yep and then we went to the academy together and he transferred to lbpd and left me all alone
street: you got over it

chris: I didn't need you dying on the streets nate would never forgive me
hondo: as amusing as this we have to get to work
street: ok what are doing first
hondo: training we have no cases
chris: jim how about we go to the shooting range
street: oh you're on

as they walk off the rest of the team are stood there watching partially in shock at what happened
luca: so chris knows the new guy
tan: seems that way
luca: we gonna follow them?
tan: absolutely
luca: lets go then
luca and tan walk away, following chris and street, forgetting that their bosses were standing there
deacon: they are gonna be like children
hondo: yep
deacon: great
hondo: you wanna join them in the shooting range
