"What have I done?" Thought James, looking down at the blood stained carpet in bedroom floor. James stated at the corpse sobbing while running his hands through his hair in a frustrated manner. He screamed and yelled, throwing and breaking whatever he could find.
"This is your fault Alice, we would have never argued if it wasn't for you!"
James sobbed holding the corpse against his chest, staining the white tee shirt he had on.
"I'm so sorry Alice, I never meant to hurt you please forgive me."
James sobbed. There was nothing James could do, but cry and beg for forgiveness. As James cried, he thought of an idea. What if he got rid of the body and ran far away from the mess he created? James got up and looked around, '1:09 am' read the clock. Without hesitation James out on a hoodie and got his car keys and started closing every blinds and curtains in his house, he even turned off every light in his house. James made sure to kick the door before he left to his car and drive off to the super market.
Once James got to the supermarket, he started checking off the list of what he needed to buy, shutting out the rest of the world.
'Bleach, garbage bags, ice, air fresheners...'
James thoughts were interrupted when he heard a woman's voice.
"Hey excuse me sir."
" Huh? Yes? "
"I'm mopping this aisle, can you please go around?"
" oh yea sorry about that ma'am. "
"No worries, but if I may ask, what's all that for?"
She says pointing to the supplies in his hands. James stuttered thinking of an excuse.
"I'm a house keeper, I'm doing late cleaning tonight."
" Oh, isn't that fun? " The store worker chuckles trying to make the conversation more enlightening.
"No not really." James says laughing a bit .
"But if I may, I'd recommend using this bleach." She says reaching for a bottle. " This one really gets stains out of carpets. "
James heart drops as she says that.
"Oh, really?"
" Yes, and if you'd like I can give you a discount. " She tells him.
"Yes please that would be nice, thank you."
She reaches in her pocket and pulls out a discount coupon, handing it to him while flashing a smile before continuing mopping. James let's put a sign of relief as he walks to self checkout.
As soon as James got home, he rushes to get a big bucket of warm water to combine with bleach. He puts on gloves and carefully puts Alice's lifeless body in one of the garbage bags. James wishes he got better garbage bags because the ones he bought were translucent and you could see Alice's lifeless stare. He put the now corpse filled body bag aside and sprinkled baking soda on the blood stained carpet. He then put a little bleach and while the mixture was sitting, he bought the bags of ice down to the basement as well as a hammer and Alice's wrapped up corpse. James sobbed looking at the mess he created, he felt so guilty but he knew he had to follow through with his ' plan '. Picking up the hammer he walked to the brick wall that's close to the basements stairs. In a repeating motion, he hit the wall over and over until he made a somewhat deep enough hole to fit Alice's corpse. He then reached in the now broken empty space and grabbed whatever broken pieces of brick he could find. After scooping out whatever brick was left, he picked up the first bag of ice, pouring it inside the hole he just made. He then picks up Alice's covered corpse and carefully puts her body in the hole. James picks up the last bag of ice and dumps it on Alice's body bag in hopes of reserving her body so it decomposes slower.
' Shit' James thought to himself, 'I need bricks'
James goes upstairs out of the basement to clean up the now soaked carpet. James glances at the clock on his night stand.
'3:09' 'damn, it took that long?'
James finished scrubbing the carpet and decided he'll finish everything tommorw. James showers and gets ready for bed, but right as he was about to close his eyes he heard a woman's voice whisper, "Help me James" He jolts up from his bed and looks around in the darkness, seeing nothing but pitch black. James felt a pit in his stomach, the feeling of guilt didn't leave his body as he tried to sleep.

The next morning, James wakes up at around 10:42 am. James knew he had to get rid of the house, so he thought putting the house on sell as an AirBnB would be a good idea. Since his house was big and had a backyard connecting to a forest, travelers would most likely rent the house. Remembering what happened last night, he knows he needs to have this house spotless if he wanted it to sell fast. He rushes to clean the somewhat free of blood carpet. As paranoid as James was, he knew he had to hurry to clean his mess up and get rid of every evidence. He makes sure to put on gloves before touching Alice's belongings, like her phone, wallet and makeup in a garbage bag. He grabs his car keys and once again leaves to the super market. Once he arrives he looks for a specific employee. To his surprise it didn't take long to find her, she was in the good aisle stocking up bread.
"Excuse me, hi it's me from last night I had a question."
" Oh hey I remember you, did the bleach work? "
"Yeah it did, but I need your help again if that's okay."
" Yes of course, what can I help you with? "
" Do you guys sell bricks? I broke the owners brick wall last night And they come home today, and instead of buying a vacuum, don't you guys have a rent-a-vaccum program? " James explained hoping she'd believe his lies.
"Yes we do actually, we charge $8.99 an hour for the vacuum and bricks yes we have them in aisle 10 in the far back." She says smiling.
" Thanks. " James told her, he was about to walk away when she said,
"Hey, I never got your name, my name is Ashley."
" Nice to meet you Ashley, I'm James. " He said sternly before flashing a quick smile and walking away to his destination.
James filled out the rent-a-vacuum form and went to aisle 10. Once James got what he needed, he went straight home. He wasted no time carrying the bricks to his basement. It was cold in the basement, so he didn't have to worry about the ice melting fast nor did he have to worry about the decomposing body smelling if he left and sold the house. James quickly covered the hole in the wall with the bricks, he didn't have cement but he tried his best to make it look natural. After, James went to his car to get the vacuum cleaner and lean up whatever blood was left in the carpet. James looked at the garbage bag full of Alice's belongings, he already had an idea of what to do with them. His idea was to bury them in the forest connecting to his backyard. He grabs the shovel and heads to his backyard, he wants the spot to be secretive and somewhere people won't find. He decided to bury them 6 feet deep under an oak tree. It was now about 1:45 pm, James just finished cleaning the shovel out of paranoia and was now on the living room couch with a beer in hand. His head full of guilt, his heart sunk into his stomach and the feeling of sorrow left in his veins. James pulled out his phone and searched up plane tickets to the nearest city. 'Brooklyn, New York'  A big city with tons of thousands of people, easy to blend in with the crowd. He officially booked a flight, set to take off 'September 23rd 4:00pm'.
