The young knight, who abandoned his people, returned to the land of fire. As he returned, he was in complete shock to see what had happened. He saw his once glorious kingdom now bathed in flames. A mountain that wasn't there before now was. He climbed off his horse and, in complete disbelief, walked back into what was once his home. He looks around the kingdom, seeing statues that look like people. He was in utter shock. He wandered around the kingdom, trying to see if anyone survived, even if he already knew the answer to the question. Soon, he arrived at the center of the kingdom. As he arrived there, he saw the Great One of Flame simply resting there. With an almost primal rage, he ran towards it, sword-drawn, and tried to kill it, but the first swing he took melted his blade upon making contact. He looked at the handle of his sword and started to laugh. He fell to the ground, completely hopeless now. He knew the children's stories. No human can defeat a great one; only those with blood blessed by one can defeat one. However, that's when he realized it. He knew how to get revenge for his people and tried to run off. Only for the Great One of Flame to suddenly extend his arm made of magma toward the knight's leg. He screamed in pain as he felt the burning pain grab him. He tried to crawl away, but he was too weak. So as he was pulled to it, he scrambled to find anything—anything at all—to help him. All he found was a jagged rock. He grabbed the rock and, with a scream, started to hack at his leg. It was a grueling experience, and a slow one at that. He was about to be taken by the Great One until he finally tore his leg off. With just his arms and a single leg, he tried to crawl off. "Why. Struggle. Become. One. Fire. Is. Warm. Death. Is. Cold." The young knight faced the Great One with rage and pain in his eyes as he shouted towards it. "DON'T YOU DARE PRETEND TO BE HUMAN, YOU PLAGUE!" The Great One seemed to smile before launching its arm again. As he did so, he didn't grab the knight; instead, he cauterized his grievous wound before falling silent again. The knight was confused, but ignored it as he dragged himself across the ground. His eyes burned with a desire for revenge.
