CHAPTER 9

Priyansh POV
As we three were going to have breakfast in the cafeteria, my eyes fall on shilpi who was carrying 3 water bottles in her hand. I excused myself and went towards her and stand in front of her. As it was so sudden, she gets flinched and one of her water bottle was about to touch the ground but before it could, I catched it.

"What are you doing?" She asked me. "What am I doing?" I teased her. "It's your second time jumping infront of me out of nowhere" she said. "Ok so when was the first time?" I asked to tease her. "Today morning when I was practicing" she said. "Are you sure you was practicing that time" I asked and smirked. "L-Let me go" she said while avoiding eye contact. "Sure" I said and move aside with a smile.

Author POV
Shilpi went towards her friends and sat on the chair beside divya. "I didn't know you and him are friends" rageeni said to shilpi. "Me and who?" Shilpi asked in confusion. "You and priyansh" rageeni said and divya gasps. "Really?! You made a new friend and didn't even tell me" divya said in disbelief. "Guys he is not my friend" shilpi said while drinking water when rageeni said "then boyfriend" and that's the whole water from shilpi's mouth was on the table while she was coughing badly.

Divya was patting her back to calm her down while rageeni was cleaning the table with tissue paper. "So sorry yaar I didn't knew you would end up choking yourself by hearing word 'boyfriend' " rageeni teased her while shilpi glared at her and divya laughed. "He is nothing to me" shilpi said getting irritated.

"I said that because I saw her talking with him in the morning and now also I saw her talking with him" rageeni said. "He was blabbering nonsense and nothing else. Now let me eat my food in peace"

At boys table
As priyansh went towards his friends and sat on the chair when atharva asked him "what were you talking with her huh!" Atharva said. "Bachho ke janne ki cheez nhi hai" (this is not kids should know) priyansh said and atharva whined.  "Dekh n yaar jayesh ye kya bol rha hai" atharva said. "Sahi to bol rha hai" (he is right) jayesh said while atharva looked at both of them in disbelief and put his hand on his heart in a dramatic way. "Dramebaaz" priyansh said and shook his head.

"So what's going on your mind?" Jayesh said and atharva also looked at him. "I will tell you once I complete my work" priyansh said and smirked.

At girls room
Rageeni and divya were scrolling reels on their phone while shilpi was balancing on her skates. "I don't have much time for preparation, I need to work hard" shilpi said while both of them looked towards her. "Don't worry shilpi and only 5-6 students are participating in this competition. You will do great" rageeni said trying to encourage her. "Nowadays people are only interested In mobile and gadgets. Only few students are participating in sports and other activities" divya said.
"Absolutely correct" rageeni said and shilpi nodded.

After some hours again shilpi and some few students were practicing skates in the skating area. Shilpi didn't mastered it yet but she was getting better in it but sometimes she loses her balance. As she was practicing, shilpi's eyes fall on priyansh who was focused on his practice and riding the skates very smoothly. Seeing this shilpi was amused and was kept observing his steps for a minute and didn't realise when he came and stand in front of her.

"Now you can admire me clearly" priyansh said and smirked. "I was just observing your steps and don't wanna say but you are very good in skating" shilpi said amusingly. "Thank you so much" he said and smiled. Shilpi turned around and was about to go back when he said "listen!" She turned around and raised her eyebrows in questioning manner. "I want your help" he said.

"What help?" She asked and he  told her about harshita and his father and also principal's deed. Shilpi was so shocked to say anything but composed herself and asked "but how principal do that? I-i mean every student-" before she could say anything he said "as you know, our college provides skates for the participants and on the day of competition, they make the screw a little loose so that participant can ride it only for few distance and the participants fall down and injured themselves and this looks like an accident but it is not" priyansh explained to her. She couldn't even imagine how can a principal do that to his students. She couldn't believehow low can people fall for money. After taking a deep breath, she asked "But now what do we have to do?"
