Sakura was nervous, he had not talked to Umemiya all day because of what happened in the bathroom. Something just came over him; he's never really reacted to an alphas pheromones unless it was during a fight even then he could barely feel it. The doctors told him he was a 'late bloomer' and won't feel pheromones strongly until he has his heat. Sakura walks up to the rooftop, he smells the meat cooking on the grill and sees the cooler and all kinds of sides, mainly fresh vegetables. It seems that he's the last person to arrive. Umemiya is the first to notice him.
"Sakura! You made it come over here!" starts to walk over how could Umemiya act so normal? It was comforting but at the same time Sakura wanted him to react for some reason like he was more than just his little underclassmen.
" glad you made it." Umemiya says joyfully
"I just came here for the meat." Sakura grumbles
"You can't just eat the meat, you gotta try the side dishes Kotoha made." Umemiya reaches to pat Sakura's head hesitating before gently placing it on his head. Sakura releases a waft of his Pheromones cherry blossom that fills Umemiya's nose. Tries to hold back his pheromones but apparently Hiragi still had noticed taking a glance at him.
"Try this." Umemiya grabs a piece of fried green tomato putting the fork towards Sakura's mouth Sakura looks hesitant before gently parting his lips to take a bite.
"It's good right?" Umemiya says with a grin.
"It's decent."
"Try this one next." It was mushrooms drenched in teriyaki sauce. As Sakura takes a bite he notices a drop of sauce on Umemiya's hand Sakura licks the spot without thinking. As Sakura looks up to see Umemiya's shocked face. Sakura's face flushes pink and a large waft of his cherry blossom pheromones fill the air causing Umemiya to release a large amount of pheromones as well. The group turns to see the two pull away quickly. Sakura's face was beet red and Umemiya was trying to regain his composure. "The meat is done!" Kiragi yells from the grill
"food!" Umemiya walks over recovering from the situation. The rest of the party was fine but Umemiya tried to keep his distance from Sakura and Sakura noticed for some reason he missed the head pats and his charming smile being directed towards him and it made his heart ache for some reason.
