The tiny drops of water wet his face, just like the day the accident happened. He tried to get as much air as he could into his lungs, but he felt like he was suffocating ~ still.

Phayu knelt on the sidewalk, sitting Rain on his lap. "Breathe baby, you're okay, you're fine." He held the back of Rain's head and covered his mouth, so he could breathe through his nose. "Look at me!"

When Rain's eyes finally focused on his, Phayu could see the fear, the torment and the pain swirling in them. He looked terrified, No ~ he was terrified.

Rain pushed Phayu away. "H~hia? H~hia!"

"I am here! Look! I'm here, Rain! I'm right here baby. Come..." Phayu desperately called, but it seemed the boy couldn't see him, or wasn't seeing him.

Phayu walked towards Rain, but he pushed him away again and that's when he realised ~ it wasn't because he didn't or couldn't see him, it was because he had associated his face with someone else's.

Another sound of thunder hit, making Rain's cries much more worse. He abruptly got off the paving and ran towards Phayu's house, he went straight to the kitchen. He grabbed a knife and sliced into his wrist ~ blood oozed out the wound.

"No! Let me do it! I killed them!" Rain shouted when Phayu grabbed the knife. "H~hia? I d~didn't mean to..." He turned in Phayu's arms. "It hurts, it h~hurts so b~bad." He pointed at his chest, before passing out.

.

"It seems that he had a mixture of a severe panic and anxiety attacks. You said he cut his wrist, right?" The doctor asked, taking notes.

"Yes." Phayu answered, holding an unconscious Rain's hand.

"A person with anxiety tends to worry a lot, even though some might not show it and/or behave as they normally do. That doesn't mean they are fine, ignoring it ~ is the way they can deal with it, but once provoked ~ even the slightest provocation ~ can lead to a devastating result. What I'm trying to say is, the first time he had an attack, you should have brought him in." The doctor scribbled a few words on his clipboard, before sighing.

"I'll sign him up for therapy with Doctor Ambhom. And he'll be discharged as soon as he wakes up." The doctor left the room.
