"Is s-" her words got stuck again when jungkook closed the gap between their face, joining their lips as he licked her lower lip while she sat there completely stunned.

Jungkook retreats after a while, "you're not five, eat properly" then he again focuses on eating the cake like he didn't just kiss tae. Like, excuse me?

Tae just glances at the floor, battling with her own thoughts.

"You could've just told me" she mumbles quietly, still not functioning well.

"I had my ways, it's THE jeon Jungkook that you're engaged to" he didn't even try to hide his prideful ego.

She snaps her head towards him, "what?" He asks raising both his brows.

How did he manage to hear? Well, if she stays any longer, she would just hope the ground swallows her out of awkwardness, so she better leave.

Tae clears her throat, standing up while fixing her dress, "It's late, I'll go"

She walks to the door before, "Isn't it too late? How are you gonna get home?" He inquires genuinely.

Oh well, seems like the cake has filled in some of its sweetness in him.

"Uh..eomma told me to stay the night here, so I'm going to her"

Silence.

Silence.

It was quite a loud silence. But they need to have a limit. They're just engaged. And, with someone they despise. What happened moments ago is nothing they ever planned or expected but oh well, we really don't know the future.

After a moment, Jungkook hums with a nod to which taehyung takes as a bye. She walks out of the door and immediately let's out sack of breathe she was holding since..she doesn't know.

With weird thoughts to the things that happened few moments ago, she unknowingly wipes her lips with her hand. Staring at her hands for a good 2 minutes before going downstairs.

"Eomma?" She calls out to which, namhee appears out of no where.

While Tae forwards towards her,"Oh you're back?" Namhee asks.

Taehyung nods with a smile.

"Well, about the night today, I've prepared the guest room since you still haven't recovered fully so it'd be better for you to sleep freely and I also have prepared some clothes for you to change onto." She explains while signaling tae to follow as namhee walks towards the guestroom in the hall.

"And i'll ask Jungkook to drop you to your home tomorrow." They get inside the room.

"I didn't have much time to know your preference, just call me if you need anything. Okay?" She cups tae's cheek gently while Tae nods with a smile.

"I will come back later to check up on you, go and change alright?"

"Okay" namhee exits the room with that.

With a sigh, taehyung looks around the room, nothing familiar, she's not sure if she's gonna sleep well in such foreign place 'cause usually, she can't.

But it's better than to travel this late to home right? And namhee won't let her go anyways, so , suck it.

Tae opens the wardrobe to find PJs. With that she enters the bathroom to change onto it.

Something's missing. Her skincare- Her phone- where's her bag?

She frowns, walking to the hall with much difficulty to just get disappointed. She ponders over it.

Wait, is it in his room? Did she left it there? Probably.

And despite her unwillingness, tae stands before his door, regretting life choices while knocking.

A minute later, the door is opened by chest naked Jungkook.

"What again?" His voice sounded annoyed and she wanted nothing more than to disappear.

"I think I left my bag here" taehyung says, looking anywhere but him and his half naked body.

She hears him sigh and walk inside. And soon he returns with her bag on his hand, while handing her it.

"5" he rolls his eyes to which taehyung makes a face.

Thankfully, without further discussion she returned to the guest room. Though she noticed he was battling to tell her something, she didn't force upon the thought.

He'll do it if he wants to.

"Son please" namhee requests, going upstairs to which Jungkook sighs and exits the kitchen, knocking on the guest room door.

He knocks once, twice, thrice. No response. With an annoyed sigh, he opens the door to a cuddled up Taehyung.

Tae, hugging a pillow with her hands forming a fist and a soft frowny pout visible. (I can picture him like this, taetae is just too adorable 😭💕)

Jungkook just stares at the lying figure, his mind blank and just screaming, 'kid'.

He couldn't comprehend the soft smile that formed on his lips as he strided to stand in front of her.

After good 5 minutes of staring, taehyung shuffles while jungkook's loving face is replaced with the usual annoyed one.

"Wake up" he says loud enough, to which taehyung tries to open up her squinted eyes with a scrunched face due to bright sunlight coming from the thin curtains.

It takes her a moment to realize she ain't home. She blinks briskly before sitting on the bed, still in daze.

"Why are you dressed up?" She asks in a morning voice, looking up at him looking oh so adorable and fluffy.

Jungkook takes his time staring before replying, "I'm heading to work and mom asked me to drop you home. So get ready."

He rolls his eyes before walking out of the door. Not before saying, "You've got 20 minutes"

They finally stop before the main gate of Kim mansion. With a stilled yawn, taehyung unfastens her seatbelt, grabbing her bag.

"Remember to pack your things, I'll pick you up at 7" Jungkook says.

"Huh?" Taehyung asks, tilting her head in pure confusion. What was he talking about?

"We're going to hwacheon for 4 days, I have few works and you're assisting me"

"We? Work? What?" She was puzzled.

He tsks, "just get ready at 7 tomorrow morning" He looks at her, "And I'm getting late for work" then again before the road,"So get out"

Rude.

She gets out of the car and he leaves.

Well, to Hwacheon? He didn't confront her before? They don't go to places? What was it about? And how many are going??

She had a lot of questions, but oh well, she knows she won't be getting any answer untill tomorrow.

Is that a new plan to plot her bad days? Well whatever.
