It's a beautiful day outside. Birds are singing, flowers are blooming. On days like these, kids like you should(n't) be burning in hell. The rays of sunshine slipped through the cracks and shone on the face of a young teenager. The peaceful atmosphere was suddenly interrupted by the annoying sound of an electric alarm clock. Eliza reached out her hand and tiredly turned off the alarm, her hair becoming a mess due to her rolling around at night.

As Eliza came down from the attic to the second floor of the shop, the smell of toast, eggs, and bacon filled her nostrils will delightfulness. "Morning Lizzy!!" Elise said as Eliza came into the room. She was already halfway through her breakfast and was digging into her omelette when Eliza entered. "The toast are in the toaster and I left your bacon and eggs on that pan over there. Grab as much as you like, I'll go open the shop. Oh, and remember to do the dishes before you go to school." Elise said while finishing her last piece of bacon and throwing her dish in the sink.

Eliza sighed as she sat down at the dining table. Ah yes, her first day at school, how could she forget. It's not like this was the first time she forgot something important, just last month she forgot to buy her sister a birthday present. As she finished her last piece of bacon, she heard Elise's voice again, shouting at her to hurry up. Eliza hurried downstairs just before the clock said 7:30. "You're just in time, have a good first day Lizzy!" Elise called out. As she stepped out onto the busy streets of Sconeville, a gush of wind blew through her hair, towards a large building on top of a hill in the distance. Eliza took a deep breath, put on her headphones, and skateboarded to school.

As she came up the hill, the building loomed over her like a giant bricky beast with the words 'STONEWALL HIGH' engraved at the top of the main entrance in big bold capital letters. In front of it was a board that said 'Welcome old students and new' and colorful decorations of flowers and butterflies surrounding it. "How mildly childish of them" Eliza said under her breath and walked through the great doors of the school.

Just as she walked in, she spotted a long table with a few middle-aged women sitting there, smiling and giving students name cards."Hello there, you must be one of our new students. What's your name?" A woman in a light pink blouse beamed at her as she approached the table. "Eliza Rose. I'm starting 12th grade this year." "Alright, here's your name card, then you can head to the auditorium, the assembly will start there in just about 10 minutes." "Thank you."

The auditorium was much larger than she imagined it would be, with a huge chandelier hanging from the ceiling. "That must be where all the school fees went." Eliza looked to her side and saw a rather petite blonde staring at the chandelier. The lights reflected in her azure eyes creating a dreamy nature as if she's lost in her own world. "Oh, you're new here aren't you? Let's sit down somewhere." She grabbed Eliza by the wrist and proceeded to drag her to a secluded corner of the auditorium, where most people cannot see them.

"I'm sorry, you must be very confused right now." The blonde gave a light giggle when they settled down in there own seats. "Right... who are you again?" Eliza peered at her suspiciously. "I'm Amaryllis Arcelia. Most people here call me Amalee though." She said and held out her hand.
"Sounds like you're royalty or something." Eliza smiled softly as she shook Amaryllis's hand. "Oh no, I'm not the royalty around here. That title belongs to her." Eliza looked around them but found only empty seats. "I'm sorry, who?"

"Uhh, it's her actually. The word her is used like a trademark for Helene Eleanora Reiné because each first letter of her name spells the word her. It's quite interesting, really, being named like that and turning it into a word." Amaryllis sighed as she look up at the ceiling. "If I turn my name into a word like that, it'd be asa. Amaryllis Saffine Arcelia." She murmured to herself as she continues to study the ceiling. Eliza also wondered about that matter. Her full name was Eliza Rosalyne Rose, a name she liked because roses were her mother's favorite flower, would turn into err. It sounds like a sound people would make when they are hesitant more than anything.

"So, what brings you to this school Eliza?" Amaryllis said as she stared into Eliza's eyes. For some reason, her stares gave Eliza a strange feeling, as if Amaryllis was trying to pierce straight through her forehead.
"Well, I just moved here from another town." "No no not like that. I mean like why did you move? What gets you into this school of all places?" Eliza was unsure of this girl's motives from her questions. "Uhhh, my sister?"

Amaryllis just starred back at her in disappointment. "So you don't know anything? Anything at all?" Eliza just shook her head in response. After all, it's not like she cared anyway. Amaryllis was just about to open her mouth again when a loud cough echoed throughout the auditorium. "Welcome students to Stonewall High. May you have a lovely school year, meet new friends, and do well in your studies. Now, I would like to invite the head of Stonewall's students council to have a few words with you. Over to you, Zach."

"Zach?" Eliza peered over her seat and looked down at the stage. Sure enough, she could recognize that messy mop of a hair anywhere. Next to her, Amalee starred at Eliza in disbelief. "You know him?" She asked, astonished at the thought of Eliza communicating with the students council president, or even just people in general. "Kinda, we've talked." Eliza leaned back at her chair as, once again, words of welcome and wishes of good luck were said.

Amalee and Eliza were just about to leave their seat when Eliza saw something whisked by at the corner of her eye. Whitish-blonde locks of hair to be exact, came with a refreshing floral scent. "Come on, let's go! Or else we will have to squeeze through the crowd." Amalee dragged her arm towards the exit of the auditorium. Eliza looked back at the spot where she saw those locks one last time, before being dragged away to first period.
