After what had happened between them, their eyes were reluctant for an eye contact. Were they at fault? Was it anticipated? Did they wish it upon them? Or more appropriately did she agree to it? Well nothing was on her to blame but she was still having to pay a higher price for it..

When Sadhna urged Prem to revoke his vow, his swear on his very esteemed bhabhi, Preeti couldn't help but shudder in fear because of what was coming up. She glanced at her father who wasn't happy about the upcoming thing, she shifted her eyes to Vivek who had a, very sad smile.

With a lot of courage she met his eyes, filled with tears, locked with her. She was seeing him after six months even after he was here in India. Her heart raced but eyes refused to move from his, which had hope. Hope for what? Did he deserve it?

Before Prem could open his mouth and say something, Ramkishan ji spoke up and his words were like a roar of thunder to everyone in the room.

"Ab ye shaadi nahi hosakti bahu, behtar hoga agar hum is baare mein abhi baat na karein" he said it with such a stoic face that everyone in the room went speechless.

The sweet box in Sangeeta's hands fell as she couldn't believe what she heard. Sadhna had her eyes wide in shock, she was about to speak but Vivek's hand held hers tightly who shook his head shutting her up. She looked up to Preeti's eyes which held a lot of pain which flowed like tears and Prem stood there with his head hung low, hands clenched into fists holding himself to not breakdown.

All his mind replayed was "hum chahe bandhan mein bandhe na bandhe.. Jazbaat ka rishta toh dil se hai. Hain na?" Her words, her voice echoes in his ears making him dizzy.

On the other hand Preeti waited, again like every other time for him to say something and when he did not. She took a deep breath in an attempt to calm her raging breaths and cries.

"M-main.. kuch formalities baaki hai na.. W-wo poori karke a-aati hu" and saying this she dashed out of the room wiping her tears and was followed by Sangeeta and Vinod immediately.

As usual he stood there still, head hung low. But only Sadhna noticed the tears that fell on his shoes from his eyes.
