All of Dex and Marella's friends crowded around the wind-swept docks, awaiting the cruise ship to sweep them away. Dex and Marella's honeymoon was something they'd been waiting for months ever since their wedding.
The bags were dragged among the docks and handed to the arms of the newly married couple. Sophie, Keefe, Linh, Fitz, Biana and Tam had all squeezed into arms-reach for a group hug as the tip of the pearly cruise ship met the front of the docks.
"Where are you going?" Biana asked, wrapping her arms around Marella.
"Well, our honeymoon will be on the other side of the lost cities. You may not see us for a few months." Marella replied, confidence and maturity splashed into her voice in a way no-one has ever heard.
Suddenly the clanking of a fork against a wine glass drowned out the silence. Sophie opened her mouth to speak.
"Everyone," She began, resting the wine glass on the dock, "I have a gigantic announcement. I went to see Elwin yesterday..."
Everyone gathered around her.
"I'm pregnant!"
Everyone cheered and clapped, hugging her before the cruise driver announced that Dex and Marella had to leave.
Dex and Marella waved goodbye and thanked them for all of the lusters they gave up to make this honeymoon possible. And then they took a step on the cruise ship and they were gone.
