Raven muttered a curse and smacked the flashlight as the life flickered out of it. "Light's dead..." She said to Jayde with an eye roll. The sudden darkness made this whole exploration a lot more terrifying, especially with the high radiation levels. They were out searching an abandoned mineshaft to try gathering information about a strange incident that had happened quite a while ago. At the moment, the other two who had joined them, being T and Shokev, were exploring a different part.

Not long after the core collapse, there had been a strange accident in a nuclear plant. They were looking for any survivors, to see if they knew anything. This was their second time coming here, as it was dangerous to be exposed to radiation for an extended amount of time, as it can sometimes cause severe damage to the Worker OS.

"This place just doesn't feel right," Jayde whispered to her, pulling out a few batteries. Raven began trying to shove them into the flashlight, finding it to be quite the hard task in the dark.

"Stupid thing..." She hissed, resorting to using her Solver for light while she put them in properly. Once she was done she closed the compartment and turned on the flashlight. Thankfully, with fresh batteries and whatnot, the light was a fair bit brighter.

"Now where'd S go," Jayde muttered, looking around with narrowed eyes. Raven shone the light into dark corners, trying to spot the Disassembler.

She looked up to see S perched on a beam, something on her screen. [Turn off the light and shut up!] She ordered. Raven hesitantly did so, hearing something.

The radiation levels spiked, much higher than they were before.

Raven's eyes hollowed and she dove for cover, dragging Jayde with her. They just barely avoided a strange radiation tipped tentacle. One of those freaky camera-like eyes looked around the corner, casting an eerie green light in the room. Thankfully it probably hadn't yet noticed them, as the strange thing just moved on. Raven held her breath as she stood infront of Jayde.

If that thing got them, they were doomed.

"Holy cra-" Jayde was cut off as Raven smacked a hand over her mouth, signaling for her to be quiet. They couldn't risk talking yet.

The sound of the thing moving stopped momentarily. Raven cast Jayde a glare.

The silence was broken when the thing started to move again, thankfully going away from where they were.

[How are we going to get out of here?] Raven asked out of desperation. It was probably going to be near the entrance, so that way was a definite no.

Jayde shrugged, and so did S. Raven facepalmed, stifling an annoyed groan. [Let's just try heading that way] Jayde suggested.

The three began to make their way down the hall, without a flashlight and as quietly and quickly as they could. They noticed small puddles of radioactive material on the ground. The thing must have been this way before.

Silence.

That wasn't good, it never was.

Raven tugged on S and Jayde, pulling them down into a crack in the ground, just before the eldritch went by, searching. Based on how it was acting, it had detected them and was now on the hunt. It made her wonder how it got that way, was it a Disassembler?

It glanced in their direction momentarily, not noticing the large crack in the floor. It emitted a low, glitchy growl and moved on, admitting defeat. They had outsmarted it once, but could they possibly do it again?
