Chris's Pov.
The truck appeared from nowhere headlights off and driving like crazy straight at the passenger side of my truck.
CRASH!!!!!!!!!!
police chiefs pov.
This is one of the worst crashes we've had in quite a while. It seems like it was planned out. "What do we know so far?" " It was a two-car crash involving a truck with two teens inside, and a newer truck that when dispatch arrived was empty. The newer truck having rammed the passenger side of the older truck. The impact pushed the passenger side in on top of the young girl sleeping against the door. broken glass from the shattered window and windshield embedded in her exposed skin her dress and the thin blanket only providing slight protection. The door folded in on her legs trapping her and her head slammed against the metal frame on impact giving her a major conclusion. She has three broken ribs, a broken leg, and a broken arm. The young male who was driving fared much better a slight concussion, a few cut and bruises and possible whiplash are his biggest problems. He is currently at the hospital waiting to hear something about the girls condition, they're running tests right now to check her vitals and brain waves because she hasn't responded yet to anything, right now it seems almost as if she is in a self-induced coma. Her breathing is slow just enough to keep her alive and her pulse is so low the machines could barely find it. We won't know more until the test results come in." Alright, that's certainly strange, but right now I need to talk to the kid. "Do we have a name for the two teens yet?" " No the boy is filling out the paperwork as best he can but as it is he's only her boyfriend or guy friend I expect because he doesn't know much about her information, but the look on his face says I love her." "Okay thank you."
I walk to the emergency waiting room which tonight is empty other than a teenage boy a woman around thirty-five or forty and three young kids. He looked up as I walked in but seeing I was not the doctor he looked back down at the papers he was trying to fill out. I walked over " Excuse me but are you here for the young girl who came in from the car crash?" Instantly the boy was on his feet fully awake even though it was like four am and judging by the circles under his eyes he hadn't slept yet. "Yes is she alright? Have you found the person driving the other truck? do you know anything yet?" "I'm sorry, but I am not the news carrier, but I would like to talk to you to get a better understanding on what happened tonight. Would you be willing to give a statement? It might help us find who did this and why." He glance at his mom who was setting up beds for the young ones and asked " Mom, will you be okay with the little ones while I talk to the officer?" "Of course now go on and help them if you can." He nodded and I lead him to an empty conference room with his stack of papers and a notepad.
We sat down and he asked, "What do you want to know?" "First off what is both your and her full names?" " Her name is Isabella Clare Winters, and my name is Christopher John Jackson." "Okay, do you know her age and birthday?" " She is sixteen. Her birthday is January 12, 1999." "Do you know her parents names?" "Her mother's name is Ayanna Clarissa Belle Winters, I don't know her father's name." "Can you give us a way to contact her mom?" "Her mom died eight years ago, and I don't know her father's number or how to get ahold of him." "Okay, what's your relationship with Isabella?" " She is my girlfriend." "What were you doing today before the crash" "Do you want just before the crash or the whole day?" " Whole day but just a quick summary until you get to the crash." "I picked her up this morning and we went to her mother's grave to pay respects because It was eight years ago today that her mom died. Then I drove to my house blindfolded her and got the things for a surprise valentines day picnic. I drove out to the trail about ten moments from the crash site. set everything up and went back to the truck to get her. We ate talked and played music she fell asleep so I wrapped her in the blanket packed up and got ready to take her home. I left her unbuckled and drove slow so she could rest easy thinking everything would be fine. As I got closer to the crash sight I turned my brights on because there wasn't another vehicle in sight when suddenly the truck that hit us came out of nowhere, no lights and driving crazier than a person does when they're drunk. I tried to get out of the way, but the driver seemed to expect it and move to. I know it is going to sound crazy, but I swear to God it seemed like the truck was trying to hit her door. Almost like the driver knew she was sitting there and wanted to hurt her like it was planned." "A few of the officers working the scene have had the same thought. Do you know of anyone who had anything against Isabella or that would want to hurt her?" " Honestly I can't think of anyone. She is a really sweet girl, a little shy when you first meet her and a bit insecure, but she is the sweetest girl you could ever meet. Everyone who knows her loves her. I don't know of anyone who would want to hurt her." "Okay, thank you. Here's my card if you can think of anything we need to know that could help us please call. I will get a hold of you if I have any other questions for you. Have a good day, young man." "May yours be better than mine Sir." That boys got something he's not telling me, and I don't even think he knows it. Right now he is thinking with a closed mind when the girl wakes up maybe he will be able to answer the rest.
