Hearing the news about Naruto's sudden resignment, made him feel devasted inside, the office now felt cold, it wasn't like before, without his presence everything became dull. All the toll of his company suddenly felt unbearable now.
Itachi's nagging finally got to him, he finally got what he wanted in the end didn't he? But was that worth it?
Don't ask me, ASK HIM.
He finally got rid of what he thought was a burden. But all these years he failed to realize that because of Naruto his company got recognition, it was never all his. He had sources and connections around the world, he definitely wasn't the out going one, so who made it work for him? Naruto.
"Foolish", he scoffed at himself, he was deeply disappointed in himself, crying and fussing over it isn't going to help, but he felt like he couldn't do anything about it now.
"You always realize your mistakes at the very end Sasuke, this habit of yours has lead you in this pathetic state today."
Came Itachi, frowning at his foolish little brother, who is currently sitting on the floor with a devastated look over his face.
"Father didn't teach us to sit down and cry over spilled milk Sasuke, all these years you worked hard to make the base of this company but failed to acknowledge such people who have created a healthy environment for your growth. You couldn't follow the principle of teamwork. I have been nagging about this for years to quit it didn't I?"
Sasuke knew everything every word that came out of his mouth was right, yet it was no use, the glass was broken, the milk was now spoilt.
Sighing, Itachi sat on the stiff sofa and pulled out his phone, even he was blocked by the blonde. He felt guilty for failing to realize how the blond feeling all these years, after all he was also a kid to him like Sasuke. He felt like he lost a part of him, Naruto was someone really close special to him, but he knew despite all of this, he didn't hate Itachi. He blocked him because he was potentially the main source for Sasuke to reach out to Naruto from him.
'He must really hate him right now.'
"Naruto-kun, he was a really admirable kid, with such wonderful traits, I treated him just how I treated you, I don't want things to end this way, you have to do something about it Sasuke."
He pauses, his attention now on the fancy bottles on the shelf, standing up from the black couch, he went to the white glossy cabinet, with black highlights, it had minimalistic design, which probably intimated Naruto. He smiled sadly, recalling that sweet boy's face.
He helps himself by pouring a glass of wine, then as he takes a sip he continues,
"You may have gotten the position, remember it very clearly, it wasn't all your work, you're taking what belongs to him as well."
Putting the glass on the table, he walks over to his brother, then pats his head before leaving his office.
A woman with pink hair seemed to be watering the plants right outside the office, she seemed rather nonchalant about the whole situation.
He eyed her subtly before proceeding forward. Something was definitely off about her.
Sasuke stood up finally after what seemed like hours, and swatted away the dust on his butt.
What could be possibly done? Can he still have Naruto Back? Will he be forgiven for his mistakes?
