For the first time in ever, I actually woke up by myself without the help of an alarm of my parents. I was probably a bit excited for the committee meeting since I would finally meet Childe's friend. I got out of bed and realized I was an hour early before my clock would ring at me to wake up on my other mornings. I turned off the alarm just in case and dressed up for school. Even though I woke up this early in the morning, I felt super energetic. It was weird...

Once I finish dressing, I went into the living room, only for my parents to already be there, my mom making breakfast, and my dad getting ready for work. My dad notices me and his eyes widen as if he had seen the most shocking thing in the world.

"Y/n? This is a first, what happened to waking up later in the day?" He asked as he was clearly teasing me. My dad speaking out my name made my mom turn to look at me with as much of a shocked face as my dad had.

"Uh, I just felt like waking up earlier?" I smiled at them awkwardly, trying not to embarrass myself by telling them the truth, plus, if I did, they would start teasing me about it.

"As if." My mother muttered to herself as she turned the pancakes she was making over. I looked at her offended but she simply smiled to herself as she watched her pancakes cook.

My mom and dad were honestly good parents. My mom was gentle and kind, yet she could also be a cheeky and teasing woman. My father was a chill guy. He was also pretty intelligent and when I was younger, he would always teach me some random lessons about life. I don't really remember half of them, but I know that he would spend half an hour trying to explain how I had to be a respectful and responsible kid or else he wouldn't trust me. That's the only lesson I remember cause he told me the same speech over 20 times. He laid off the teaching a bit since I was older now, but he still doesn't always fully trust me. I mean, I am responsible, what more does he want from me?

We ate breakfast together as my dad then had to leave for work along with my mom. I decided that maybe I should head out to school as well and have them drive me for the first time. But my mom still decided to make me walk. Kind of sad not gonna lie. I was still super early, so I was wondering how my friends would react to me being early. They'd probably just tease me as well.

After a tiring walk to school, I arrived to my locker and opened it as I put in the things I had on me. Since I had so much time to spear, I decided to go up to the roof and see if I could notice my friends walk towards our school.

I closed my locker and headed up. There weren't many people in the school, just a few. Most of them were either in the library, or out in the halls talking with their friends. There were a few loners here and there, but nothing unusual.

I arrived at the roof as a gentle breeze blew my hair out of my face as I couldn't help but admire how literally no one was up here. The sky was clear as it was blue with a few fluffy white clouds here and there. There were metal fences around the roof to prevent anyone from accidently falling off. It was quite relaxing. The roof was about just as big as a soccer field, it was huge, you had the whole view of the ground around the building. Plus, it was only four stories high, so it wasn't that bad. This was were we ate the previews day, but because there was no one, it seemed much more empty and big.
