This is a temporary book which will provide the potential deck ideas for a future story. Once I know which deck will be used in the final idea, this book will be deleted and replaced with that one.

Hi everyone, thank you to all who commented on the last poll I put up. It did help me narrow down my ten ideas to two. And I must admit, I was pleased with the result. Out of the results I got, two of the more popular ones were based off my two favourite archetypes in all of Yu-Gi-Oh.
HERO and Ancient Gear.
I wanted to do one last poll between the two updated ideas sprouting from these archetypes, as well as provide some more background on the story itself.
In this story, the main character will be a successful pro duellist. The second best in New Domino City, surpassed only by Jack Atlas. This esteem is what grants him an invite to the Fortune Cup and it is here where the main character will be pulled into the battle with the Dark Signers to save someone close to him.
That's the general backstory. Though some things will be added to accommodate the deck.
Deck 1: HERO (Mainly Destiny and Neo Spacian, but with an Elemental HERO engine and access to Evil HERO's towards the end).
This idea has undergone some revision. I'm considering having a mix of Elemental HERO, Destiny HERO and Neo-Spacian. I can't really provide a clear deck list since it will kind of alternate over the course of the book. The main character won't use Evil HERO until later in the story. The main focus will be on Destiny HERO and Neo Spacian, however it will have an Elemental HERO engine.
In this revision, the main character is still Jaden's son, however he was mentored by Aster. When Aster retired as a pro, the main character inherited the Destiny HERO cards as well as his father's Neo Spacians. The main character's title as a duellist is 'New Domino's Hero'.
The main character will have the gift to speak to monster spirits, notably his two ace monsters. Elemental HERO Neos and Destiny HERO Plasma. These cards reflect the two sides to the main character

Later on, when this character used Evil HERO's Malicious Fiend will be his ace. However it won't be a duel spirit. I won't give too much away on what would happen.
Deck 2: Ancient Gear
The deck for this idea remains pretty much the same as on the last poll. Please refer back to that if you don't remember. However I felt I'd go more into the background of the character.
The main character concept is also still the same as before, as they are still a graduate of Duel Academy, earning his Ancient Gear deck, which he upgraded to suit his needs. As a pro duellist, he is known as the 'Foreman of New Domino'.
This main character is also capable of speaking to monster spirits. Specifically, his favourite monster, Ancient Gear Golem.

His strongest monster will be Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem, however more often than not, the monster he uses is the regular Gear Golem.
Those are the two final ideas. If you have a preferred option between the two, please let me know. Ultimately, I'd like to do either. I'm sorry if you picked one of the other options, these were just the two options I'd like to do more.
I hope you like this story when I get around to it. I know it's been a long time coming, I've already planned each opponent the main character will face regardless of idea as well as the stories general plot. I hope you enjoy and as always, thanks for reading.
