Yo! Life Is Strange: Double exposure got announced recently and there was a livestream with some extended gameplay shown. This chapter is going to only be that portion. Since the game comes out in October and I'm writing this in June, many things can and probably will change since I'm only writing with the info I can find. Times and places may also change. I'm assuming the game takes place ten years later.

Enjoy!

"Give me the cliff notes version of what we're out here to see?" Safi said as the four of us were staring up at the sky. We sat on the roof of a building from the university.
"A bunch of little pieces of a shattered asteroid." Max said with enthusiasm.
"From eleven million miles away." Murphy said.
"Good thing we've got a big ass telescope." I said.
"This is what I get for introducing you three." Safi said with a smile.
"Hey, I knew Murph before you introduced us." I said as Murphy and I fist bumped.
"Wow..!" Max said with a big smile as small specks moved across the night sky.
"So should we be worried about this crazy asteroid hitting Earth?" Safi said.
"Not in our lifetime. And it'll probably disintegrate before it reaches the surface." Murphy said. Safi sat up in her chair immediately looking over at my wife and me.
"Alright you two, you have twenty four hours before the world ends. What would you do?" Safi said.
"I've always wanted to see what it would feel like to drive on the left side of the road like they do in Europe. I'd find an empty road and do that." I said with a slight joking tone.
"That's it?" Safi said, her and Murphy both chuckling.
"Yup!" I said with a smile.
"As for me... I'm documenting that shit! Imagine how cool an apocalypse photo set would be?" Max said, very passionately. Our friends sighed, almost tired of hearing that very Max-esque answer but I didn't react. I've been used to it for almost a decade.
"Oh my god, this again? Nobody would see it. I'm telling you, art requires an audience. Otherwise it's just-" Safi said as they've had this playful spat many times before.
"Okay geez.. Agree to disagree?" Max said with a soft chuckle.
"Awful quiet over there boys. Don't wanna weigh in?" Safi said as she turned to the two of us who were checking to see if Murphy's equipment was working.
"Oh, uh, I wasn't listening." Murph said, sounding almost scared to pick a side.
"I think I legally have to agree with Max. She is my wife after all." I say with a playful tone, earning an eye roll from Safi and a small smile from Max.
"Hey! Looks like the equipment's working." Murphy said.
"Ooo! Why am I not at home wrapped up in a blanket burrito by now." Safi said as she got up, hugging herself as she shivered.
"I don't know. The three of us out on the town without you? Think of the wild times you would miss." Max said, letting out a soft laugh as if she didn't even believe what she was saying.
"Lakeport's most notorious party animals. Bow bow bow bow!" Safi said as she mimicked an airhorn.
"Oh! I brought cups. Figured it was better than passing the bottle around, so." Max said as she reached in her bag and pulled out a bunch of mugs.
"These are the best you could do?" Safi said with a smile as she and Murph grabbed a mug.
"I don't work in this building. Don't blame me for the astronomy departments bad taste." Max said as I grabbed one of my own.
"Mine says I'm the world's horniest grandma." Murph said and I couldn't help but chuckle.
"And mine is a toilet. Thanks babe." I said which made Murph chuckle in return.

Max looked at the three that were left and decided on one that said "Nerdy & Dirty," giving me a sly wink.

"I have some good news. It's big but I can't tell you what it is." Safi said as she popped open a bottle of champagne.
"You can't tell us you have good news and then-" Max said.
"I don't wanna say anything else until everything is finalized." Safi said as she poured everyone some champagne.
"Mysterious. Well whatever we're celebrating, I think it calls for a selfie." Max said.
"Oh! Let me, I just got this camera and I want to get some good use out of it." Safi said as she pulled out a camera from her bag.
"What should we say?" Max asked as Murphy spoke up, talking to himself.
"Damn. I think I have hypothermia." Murphy said.
"That. Definitely that." I said and Safi pointed her camera towards all of us.
"Murphy has hypothermia!" We all said as we put on our best smiles. Murphy's equipment started beeping so he walked over to his laptop.
"I'm gonna.. you know.. do my thing." Safi said as she walked off with her mug.
