Spinning the Bottle

It's Friday night Sonic and Shadow are at Knuckles and Rouge's house for game night. They became roommates not long after they became friends. "Your turn to spin the bottle handsome." Shadow growled at that nickname starting to regret coming. Knuckles thought it would be funny to mock Shadow. "Who are you going to have to kiss?" He ended up getting smacked upside the head by him.

Shadow spun the bottle and after a minute it stopped. Sonic's heart sank when it pointed at him. Rouge and Knuckles knew they weren't going to kiss in front of them so they forced Sonic and Shadow into a closet together. "I'm telling you now hun you're both stuck in there until you kiss." Shadow wasn't happy about it and tried opening the door. "Did you guys lock the door?!" "It was Rouge's idea so have fun you two."

He growled in frustration and tried to calm down. That's when he realized Sonic hasn't said a word or looked at anyone since they started playing the game. He looked around and saw Sonic curled up in a corner looking at the floor. It concerned him a bit since he's never seen him act like this before. "Are you feeling okay Sonic?" He just slowly nods his head. Shadow sits down next to him thinking something is on Sonic's mind.

They sat in silence for a bit before Shadow decided to ask Sonic. "Is there something bothering you?" Sonic tenses up and looks at him. "W-what do you mean?" "It just seems like you're a little flustered around me and never talked to any of us since we started playing spin the bottle." Sonic looks away blushing. "Maybe it's best if I tell him before somebody else does." "Rouge knows a secret I've been keeping for a while." Shadow raised an eyebrow and noticed Sonic biting his lower lip. "You want to talk about it?" He was hesitant at first but nods his head and confesses.

"E-ever since we became friends and roommates...I-I've had a crush on you. Rouge found out about my feelings towards you and wanted to help. I honestly didn't know she was going to do this." Shadow was listening closely to everything Sonic said and then sees him start to cry blaming himself for the situation they're in. "Hey calm down Sonic. I know this isn't your fault." He moves closer and gently rubs his back. "Rouge tends to take this a little far without thinking." Sonic slowly calms down and lays his head on Shadow's shoulder. "Does this bother you Shads?" "Not at all."

They stayed like this for a few minutes and then Shadow decides to make the first move. He gives Sonic a kiss on the head making him blush a little. "Am I your first kiss Sonic?" "Y-yeah..." Shadow blushes at his response. "If it makes you feel a little better...you're my first kiss too." Sonic lifts his head and looks at him. "R-really?" He smiles and nods his head. "We can start off slow if you want." "Y-yes please"

They started off with getting a little more comfortable by laying on the floor next to each other. Shadow can tell Sonic is really nervous and wants to be as gentle as possible with him. "If at some point you start feeling uncomfortable please tell me." "I-I will Shadow I promise." He carefully wraps his arm around Sonic's waist pulling him closer. So far Sonic is liking it and starts purring while Shadow is gently rubbing circles on his back.

"I'm going to start placing gentle kisses on you. Not the lips yet I promise." Sonic nods his head giving Shadow permission. He started giving him kisses on his face hearing him chuckle. "That tickles Shads" He couldn't help but smile at his reaction and leans up to his ear to whisper. "Can you close your eyes for me Sonic?" It took him a minute to do so since he was feeling a little nervous but knew he can trust him. "If you're ready I'll take your first kiss and you take mine. I don't want to scare you." "I-I'm ready"

Nothing happened for a minute since Shadow was making sure he kept his eyes closed. He kept his arm around Sonic's waist so he knows he's still there. Once Shadow was ready he slowly leans in kissing Sonic on the lips. After a few seconds he felt Sonic kiss him back. They broke for air after a minute smiling at each other. "How did that feel to you?" "G-good Shadow" Time felt like it slowed down for them and they didn't care they were still locked in the closet. They enjoyed cuddling and making out off and on feeling each other's soft touch.

In reality they've only been in the closet for about two hours. Rouge comes downstairs in her robe to check on them. Once she opened the door she saw them laying on the floor together. Shadow was awake and Sonic was sleeping in his arms. "Did he confess his feelings?" "Yeah and we are official." Rouge smiles watching Shadow carefully get up carrying Sonic without waking him up. "I have the couch set up for you two so you can stay the night and I'll make breakfast in the morning." "Thanks Rouge" She goes back upstairs while Shadow gets settled on the couch with Sonic ready to sleep. He gives him a kiss on the head and drifts to sleep.
