You were currently walking through the city with Dottore in front of you, seemingly annoyed as the two of you have been walking for at least half an hour now with no signs of the thief he was after. Was the stuff he stole from him really that important? Well.. you didn't know what kind of job, experiments or whatever research stuff he did, but you definitely questioned everything in your head as you knew that you wouldn't get answers from him due to how his person behaved and reacted to even simple questions; irritation and annoyance.

" How's the thief supposed to look like? " you asked as you kept on looking at the back of his head as he was clearly not in the mood to even walk beside me and make sure you wouldn't run away. Was he trusting you that much? How odd of him..

" You'll recognize the thief when you see them. " He said in a short manner, clearly not in the mood to even tell me how the thief looked like. Maybe he didn't know himself? Well, who knows really.. however as you were lost in your thought You'd eventually feel Dottore grab onto your wrist and quickly throw you forward " There. That man in the dark cloak Y/N. " 

You looked forward and saw the man with a small bag hanging from his waist, wearing a dark cloak to supposedly protect him from the cold. However as soon as he turned around and spotted you and Dottore he'd quickly turn around and begin running to which you'd be pushed forward by Dottore to begin running after the thief.. and so you did.

Left, Right, Right, Foward.. The man was fast. It was almost as if he knew his way through this maze of a city and the fact that it was starting to get crowded was quite bothersome too since you were slowly getting lost in between the crowd " Hey! Wait up! " you yelp out. However as you do you'd feel yourself trip and fall to the ground.

Once you were laying there you'd sigh and carefully get up, looking over your winter coat only to notice how muddy and ripped it was- wait, when did you rip it? You'd sigh and soon feel a gloved hand against the back of your neck " Why are you stopping? You almost had him brat. " Dottore said as he quickly pushed you forward again and waited for you to resume the chase. Was he serious? He expected you to chase after him??

You kept still for a moment before sighing and resuming your chase after the man, wondering which way he could've gone. However as you were now walking through the busy market street you'd eventually see him standing by one of the small stands and carefully make your way over to stand behind him before quickly trying to grab onto him only to have him run off and throw a few things at you, causing you to stumble backwards and against a few people.

You'd yelp out and quickly apologise before dropping the things and running after him again " Stop! " you shouted as you were trying to catch up. It was hard.. so hard to catch up with him.. but due to your luck, the man accidentaly ran into a dead end and stood there whilst looking around for an escape only for you to quickly walk up behind him and press him against the wall whilst holding his arms behind his back.

" Hey! Let go! " The man shouted as he tried to struggle out of your grasp, clearly struggling for whatever reason " Look we can make a deal! I'll give you whatever you want and you'll let me free yeah? Sounds good doesn't it?! Come on woman just let- "

" Go? " said a voice from behind you and the Thief. You could already make up that it was Dottore and the man probably did so too as he froze in place and looked over his shoulder with wide eyes, " Oh please, don't look so surprised.. or maybe it's fear? Doesn't matter to me. " Dottore said as he walked up behind you and placed a gloved hand on your shoulder just so you'd let go of the man whilst he took him by the back of his shirts' collar " You have 30 minutes of free.. time. "

You looked at him curiously before blinking a few times in disbelief " Really? I'm allowed to.. " you said before quickly shutting your lips as this was a massive opportunity for you to run off and escape this madman. However all you got was a glare, clearly telling you to go right this second as if he was planning something horrible.

So you wasted no time and turned around, slowly walking away and past the corner " This is my chance.. " you whispered to yourself before quickly running off towards the main gate of the city that you came through with him. It was a little hard to navigate the city if you were being honest, mainly considering the fact that you had to push through the crowd that was slowly starting to get bigger as it was closing in to the busiest time of the day.

" Dammit.. " you muttered to yourself as you were trying to push through before finally seeing the exit. However as you were picking up speed you'd eventually have your wrist caught by someone.. was it Dottore? Did he expect you to run off like this?

" Hey Girlie. " said a strange Ginger. However as soon as you looked him over you could see a Fatui Pendant on his white winter coat adorned with rope accessories, black fur at the hood and other silver accessories " You're quite far from the Doctor. Are you trying to run away by any chance? " the man asked whilst looking at you with a smile plastered on his face.

You finished looking him over and looked up at his face before feeling a small drop of sweat run down your forehead.. was this another Harbinger? You swallowed and shook your head " N.. No.. I was looking for a store with some.. meals I would be interested in. " you said, trying to lie your way through this man's gaze which made you feel a little uncomfortable.

He looked at you before reaching a hand up and ruffling your hand " Name's Childe. Although don't worry about it.. I won't tell him. " He said before offering you a hand " I could show you around if you'd like. Unless you don't have much time to look around, I could always throw in a word and say that I'll help out if needed. "

" That's.. nice of you Childe, I'm Y/N. " you said before clearing your throat " And yes.. I don't have plenty of time but still thank you. " you'd mutter whilst reaching a hand up to your hair and fixing the spot he had messed up.

Childe looked at you and hummed a little before the smile from his lips faded " Try not to run away then, Y/N. Even if the Doctor gives you free time, it's better to not do such stupid things.. I know you might not like it with his constant.. things and orders, but once you get to know the whole Fatui organisation you'll learn to like it and maybe figure out that not everyone's as bad as it may seem. " he said with a pause before smiling " Just give it a try, will you? " he said with a smile.
