HOOD DREAMS AND NIGHTMARES

"I'm bored..." Imani says as she yawns. She was in bed lying on her back with her legs in the air. "Then go out and walk yo, dog I know you hear her barking." Her best friend Ari says as she walks into her room. "K ima go get the leash," Imani says as she stretches before she gets up from the bed. Imani walks to the living room where Princess's cage is grabs the leash on top of it and lets Princess out of the cage.

"Come on Ari I'm finna leave!" *8 Minutes into the walk* yall stop at a corner store. Ari goes into the store you told her to get you a bottle of water and some hot fries. You stand outside with Princess waiting for Ari until you hear a familiar voice.

"Hey, lil mama whassup wit you?" Princesses ears perk up and her tail wags. Imani lifts her head and sees Camron. He bends down to Princess's level to pet her and does exactly that. Imani smiles at the sight and says "you talkin to the dog or me??" Camron stands up and walks up to Imani with a smirk.

"Whoever you think I'm talking to." Imani looks up at him and sighs. "why you here?" Imani asks. He looks at her confused. "This yo corner store or sum??" "No but why you here when I'm here you lil stalker.

"are you slow?" He asks very serious. "Boy-" You were cut off by your best friend walking out the door. As she walks out and closes the door the bells on the door ring. "What's up Camron?" she says as she walks closer to us with a black bag. "nothing what y'all finna do?" She gives him a side hug and says "uhh I guess we finna go back home and chill why?"

"Let me come with y'all I can give y'all a ride." He says as he points to his car. Ari looks at Imani and looks at princess. "You ok with the dog in your car?" "Yea but I'm finna go get me something in the store." He says as walks into the store.

Imani digs in the bag and grabs the water and hot fries. She opens the water and bends down to princesses level to give her some water. "I know mama it's hot out here" Imani says to princess.

After about 3 minutes Cameron comes out the store. "Finally it's hot out here." Ari says drinking her peach faygo. "Y'all could have got in the car while y'all was waiting for me." Cameron says as he motions them to come to the car. Ari gets in the front seat and Imani picks up princess and puts her in the back seat. Imani scoots princess over and sits in the back seat next to her.

After couple minutes he pulls into the drive way. They get out and go inside the apartment.

"Oh my gosh, I can't wait to get out of these sweaty clothes," Imani says. "Seriously, I feel like I'm going to melt," Ari adds, fanning herself with her hands.

Camron chuckles. "You two are too soft. This is nothing compared to where I'm from." "Boy didnt nobody ask you where you from and I'm pretty sure nobody care." Imani says in a sassy tone. "Yeah and yo ac wasn't on in the car." Ari says as she scrolls on her phone still drinking her peach faygo.

"It was only like a two minute drive y'all acting like we was in there for 5 hours." Cameron rolls his eyes from there complaints. "Well you still could have turned on the ac while we was in there." Imani says as she gets up to change.

"What you finna do?" Cameron asks Imani. "I'm about to change what does it look like I'm finna go do?" Imani says with a attitude. "I didn't know what you was finna do that's the whole reason I asked." Cameron snaps back at her but she just walks into her room ignoring him. "Ok then..." He mumbles with a hint of sass in his voice.

Camerons phone vibrates in his pocket he pulls it out of his pocket and see's that he got a text from a unown number. He ignores it and puts his phone back in his pocket not bothering to check it. "What y'all doing today?" Cameron asked Ari. She looks up from her phone to look at Camron. "Uh we don't really got nothing planned Imani's mama get off work in like three hours and we have to pick up her little sister from school in about a hour." Ari says.
