Valerie's POV
"I feel too scared to do dare since it's you but i'm not a scaredy-cat so dare." I said.

"Pizza time!" Tristan yelled as he closed the door on the pizza delivery man.

"Yay!" Maddy screamed, rushing to get plates from the kitchen.

She quickly came back with 7 plates.

Tristan put a piece of pizza on each plate and handed them out to everyone.

"Let's continue the game after eating." I said.

"Awww, scared?" Miguel asked.

"You wish."

When everyone finished their pizza, we started the game out again with Miguel giving me a dare.

"Hmm." He thought. "This dare has two parts to it. First, what's your biggest fear?"

"First of all, I hate spiders. Second, I hate the dark." I said.

"Aren't you 16? How are you scared of the dark?" Miguel teased.

"Because you don't know what's in the dark. There could be spiders crawling near you and you could have no idea.(I'm writing this in the dark, in my bed at 11:28 pm) Anyways, what's the next part?" I asked.

He chuckled. "Now I definitely know what you're doing."

Oh no.

"Miguel-" Becca got cut off by Miguel.

"What? It's truth or dare for a reason."

"Oh no. Please don't say-" I got cut off by Miguel too.

"Yep. You have to stay in a dark room for 5 minutes." He said.

"Fuck no." I said simply.

"What. It's truth or dare for a reason, you picked dare, I give you a dare. Plus, at least i'm not giving you 10. I thought you weren't a scaredy-cat." He taunted.

"Miguel, you don't have to force Val-" Tristan started.

I cut him off. "No, Tristan, it's fine. I'll do it."

"Hah, this is going to be fun, go to the hallway closet, I'll start a timer as soon as you close the door." Miguel said as he grabbed his phone and got the timer ready.

I stood up and took a deep breath.

I got this, I got this. I kept repeating in my head.

I walked to the hallway closet, opened the door, got inside, and shut it.

I sat on the floor.

The closet was empty. It was spacious yet claustrophobic at the same time.

I don't even remember when it started but I've had a fear of the dark ever since I was young.
