So middle school was really different from my elementary school. I was really nervous going into sixth grade. But there was this 7th grader and also my mom's friend's daughter. So I talked to her and just followed my homeroom. It was difficult finding my first period so I asked a teacher to help me. My first period was reading class (even though I wanted to do Spanish) My second period was social studies. And next we had a 4 minute break. So my third period was science. And after lunch I went to my 5th period of culinary. My culinary teacher chef Bryton is really nice. I could list lots of reasons why but I'm not gonna do that right now. So I went back to Ms. April's room (my reading teacher) And we did math. And after math we do language arts. So I really belong at Shasta middle school and I'm really excited for my younger brother to experience what I experienced. And I also realized it's not as easy as it looks. Well in a couple of months we are going on a salmon field trip. I don't know how I should feel right now. But as we got there we got off and went in our groups (which were color coded) And It's not a big problem for me besides this one kid named Chris he is so annoying. Glad I don't have him in our group I had 1 of my friends. So I knew I would be okay. We saw lots of salmon then we went to 7th period which was boring. We had a dance it was like a beach theme it was so pretty! And I bought a flower necklace (but with real money not really danebo money) as a couple of months went by we got spirit week! First it was anything but a backpack then, character day, then pajama day, dress like a teacher or student day, lastly twin or squad day. And then after that we had our first assembly it was crazy! I participated in grabbing the cup fast. (it hurt my hand only a little bit) But the others won so yeah. And there was the day for the tree field trip. We get to dig for bones, touch fur, and lots more! Just like last time we ended up in 7th period. And this was the last day of school. It felt really short, but I got some people and teachers to sign my year book and we got ice cream and snacks. And we were waiting for the bus and we waved goodbye outside the bus window. I am excited for 7th grade but I knew that it would be hard just ask for help. And I guess being a 7th grader will be harder than ever.
