The unknown frightens us.

All Aurelia connor cares about is her family and her research. She needs to find out about her abnormality. Her weird wolf. She needs major funding and lab equipment to carry out her research. In a strange turn of events, her attending a ball at the royal palace leads to a great internship opportunity that would aid her personal research. She starts her new job, excited about the opportunity, only to be targeted by the Blood Mafia, a ruthless vampire group that treats humans like blood cattle.

Now, she has to set out on a journey to find out why she is being targeted but things become more complex when the werewolf king gets involved. As she walks the fine line between science and magic, she understands that sometimes science and magic are not always mutually exclusive but are intertwined in such a way that the beginnings of the supernatural creatures will be put to question.

She then discovers the mystery surrounding the witch's death, a mystery so powerful that it traces back to the origin, casting a shadow on the present that, when revealed, brings a legend to life.

SNEAK PEEK 1

Aiden spun me in circles around them, not giving them a way out. We then swayed and bumped into them just the way they had earlier.

Aiden then pushed me away, reeled me back in my back to his front and then spun me once again so that we were facing each other He then lifted me, his hands at my waist and my waist at his shoulder level, my legs stretched out behind me and spun us around twice while I still remained in air. He then used his extra strength and bounced me in the air, caught me in his arms—bridal style—and spun again, coming to a halt after two spins. He let me down smoothly, looking into my eyes.

SNEAK PEEK 2

' At the count of three, Aurelia, watch my back'

'gladly'

Aiden lets out a loud growl that shakes the earth beneath us. The men look at him in horror.

"Then you should also know I am the Alpha King," Aiden says calmly, unleashing his power. His calmness, a stark contrast to the earlier growl, has an intimidating effect on them.

' one.. two.. three..'

He runs towards the first man, his claws out by now and slashes his neck. The man falls down, his eyes going out of focus.

The other men take a moment to notice this. Aiden was so fast that it was nearly impossible to comprehend what's going on by human.

I dash behind him, making sure no one attacks him from behind. Now the men realise that they can't get out of this without a fight, attack us altogether.

The first man or the second, if you count the one lying dead on the ground, runs towards Aiden while the third one comes for me. I flank Aiden on his left as he approaches us.

The third man tries to punch me in the face but i lean away at the last moment and kick his legs out from under him, letting him fall to the ground.
