Sky Fall.

Sky Fall: Liko and Roy's Hunt.

As the Clemontic airship landed, two teenagers began to step off the deck to take in the view of the sky. The sun started falling toward the horizon, creating an orange atmosphere across the open landscape with grass fields and mountains expanding miles ahead. The airship they came from was not the one they called home but one of Clemont's inventions of an all-transport airship. Designed to carry cargo, Pokémon, and people alike to multiple destinations. Even though hundreds of them were mass-produced, it was still an awe to see a remarkable machine take flight. The airship was inspired by the Brave Asagi, as Clemont has mentioned before, and which the Rising Volt Tacklers would always take pride in, especially Orla.

The teens were named Liko and Roy. Two trainers set out to get a piece of an old artifact for Clemont, as they were hired as treasure hunters along with the other members of RVTs almost a year ago. Today was another day of adventuring and exploring without anyone to watch over them. They have experience and can hold their own to some extent, plus Clemont gave them a set of coordinates to follow, as easy as catching a Magikarp right?

"So we need to go up a few miles within the forest to get the artifact, which seems easy enough," Roy said while holding a map over his head.

"You'd be right, but we may have to unearth it too." Liko pointed out as she walked alongside him.

"Ooh, that's right, it shouldn't be too hard to do that." Roy smiled before putting the map in his vest pocket.

"Wait," Liko said abruptly, causing Roy to stop dead in his tracks.

"What's up?" Roy tilted his head in confusion.

"I think this is a good place to set up camp, don't you think?" Liko said as she surveyed the open plains around them.

"Yeah, I think so too!" Roy spoke as he took off his pack.

After finding the right spot, they began setting up the campsite, making separate tents with Roy's Skeledirge and starting the campfire as Meowscarada collected dry wood from the nearby forest. They all sat on dead tree logs near the fire, cooking some curry after a long day's travel. Moments like these were nice, just relaxing, eating a cooked meal under the night sky. Skeledirge fell asleep soon after eating, with Meowscarada and Terapagos lying on his back, looking at the dimming sky. This left Liko and Roy to converse for a while.

"You know, now that I'm thinking about it ..." Roy started.

"Hm?" Liko hummed as she took a bite of her curry.

"When was the last time we spent together, like just the two of us?" Roy asked.

Liko pondered momentarily, realizing he had come up with a good question. She and Roy were separated under their temporary mentors along with Dot. Roy spent time with Unova's Champion Iris to learn about Dragons in hopes he could form a closer bond with Rayquaza. He even was mentored under the World champion himself, and the similarities between the two were striking, to say the least.

On the other hand, Dot was under the tutelage of the world's greatest inventor, Clemont, and even Iono, to bring up more confidence within herself. As for Liko, she was with Serena, May, and several others. That was a fun time, especially with Miette and Misty in Johto.

All three of them were separated for a time, only reuniting for a few days before setting off again. They still communicated with one another, sharing their own experiences. Liko remembered all the late-night voice calls with Roy, who was going on a talking spree while she was on her bed listening. She found it amusing how much energy he had so late at night.

So many stories could be told...but so little time. Tonight, however, they can finally have a conversation one-on-one like they used to.

"It's been a while, that's for sure." Liko chuckled slightly.
