while I was starting to clean up the kitchen, I heard a knock at my door. "Holy crap, she's here."  I started to tense up, I felt like my whole body was being squeezed. when I opened the front door, I was greeted with a smile like a work of art. "Hi," she said. "Hey," I said still starstruck by her beauty. Her smile started to turn into a frown, " Why are you looking at me that?" she said with a bit of worry in her voice. She put her hands over her face " I know I look so ugly without makeup." I was suddenly out of my trance when she said that I calmly took her hands from her face and looked at her with a reassuring smile.  " You look even more beautiful than before, it's like a sweet song of colors blending. All the colors are bright and vibrant but too bright or not too dark." she looked at me and smiled " You are such a smooth talker, no one had ever said that to me before."  as she entered the apartment, " you really think so, I just say what's on my mind and my mind was just stuck on how your beauty is so unreal." she put her coat on the couch and sat on the island. " You know I never thought I was beautiful or pretty in any type of way." I looked at her as I was preparing dinner, "Are you serious?"  she did a soft chuckle "Yeah, I used to get bullied a lot about my looks, but when I graduated high school that's literally when I started building up my confidence, that's when I started not caring about what people think of me. You only live once, I'm comfortable with how I look and that's all that matters." she said with a proud smile on her gorgeous face, I looked back at her with a smile. Even the way she carries herself is just so well-crafted with elegance and beauty, she's very intricately.  I was walking towards the island to serve her plate, " Well in my eyes I would never think you're not attractive."  she looked down at the plate "Steak and shrimp? That's like a whole dinner I could've been fine with a sandwich." I shook my head no " You are not worth a lame-ass sandwich Jameela (African word for beautiful)" She was surprised " I didn't know you spoke Swahili?!? Okay white boy I see you. " I chucked a little " I used to study the African language in college for a little while so."  she turned away from her plate and stared into my eyes, she was looking at me with a wave of passion. I started to get so lost in her in that very little moment, that I started slowly leaning in towards her. She was the same, our foreheads touching one another just enjoying being in the presence of one another. "I think I like you." she said whispered to me, " I think I like you too," I whispered back.
