Chapter Two

The Kuru Ladies started the celebration by performing for the Puja.

After which the grand aarti was done in front of the idol of Goddess Lakshmi and everyone prayed to her whole heartedly.

Tarini was the happiest because of her plan.

"Come with me dear", a maid said to the princesses who frowned but followed her thinking she needed help.

As soon as they went inside the room, the maid got changed into a demoness resulting in gasps from the princesses. She opened her hands and a rope came out of her hands which tied the princesses and they fainted.

And she took them from there.

"Have you seen the Princesses?" Kunti asked people who shook their heads.

She panicked. She didn't see them anywhere. Where were they?

"Putr", she immediately rushed to Karna.

"Mata", Karna smiled.

"Putr. The girls are nowhere to be seen", Kunti said.

Karna felt his heart fall. "Don't worry mata. They must be here", he assured and called for soldiers to search the whole palace.

They were nowhere to be seen. Where were they?

"Seal all the gates", Karna shouted worriedly. "no one should exit the Kuruvansh", he said.

Everybody returned to their homes but the gates of the vast empire were sealed.

Millions of soldiers were rushing all around the empire searching for the princesses.

His wives were crying and praying for their daughers.

Karna hadn't eaten even a morsel.

Everyone were worried for the princesses.

It was clear by night that the princesses weren't here.

"Maharaj", a maid said.

Karna turned to look at her. "I know about the maids who work here and I handle the list of who joins and leaves. The maid in the morning, I have never seen her", She said confused.

"What? Where is she?" Karna demanded.

"That's the doubt Maharaj. She is not in the palace anymore and no maid could leave the palace without informing so she can't be outside, in the empire, if she is here, she has to be in the palace only but she is no where to be found", The maid said.

"Can you describe her?" Karna asked.

"Yes Maharaj", she said.

"Great!" He exclaimed. He took a drawing board and quickly drew the sketch as she described.

"It was her", the maid confirmed.

"Give this to my wives. Tell them to search for this maid. Only they know about the staff in the palace", he said to the soldier who nodded and went hurriedly.

"Arjun!" He said.

"Yes jyesht?" Arjun asked in alert mode.

"You remember the face of this girl right?" Karna asked.

The Pandavas nodded.

"You five check the gates of Indraprastha. See if she got a permit and left from there. If she has, see where has she gone out of the empire and immediately one of you go and search for her there. If you didn't see her name in the permit, inform me immediately. Maa you go with them and check the palace there and the soldiers should ask the people about her", Karna said.
