"Beep...beep...beep..."  What the hell was the sound? I opened my eyes to see a white ceiling, looking left I found the source of the beeping. a heart monitor?

I tried to get up but my body refused to move. I started to panic. The beeping began to go faster.

A familiar beautiful, blond doctor walked in quickly checking my vitals to make sure I was alright. Carlisle his name was Carlisle the same man who was at the accident.

He saw I was staring and and gave me a heart warming smile. Which caused a deep blush to cover my face and the beebing to skip.

"How do you feel?" He questioned with a smirk and the most beautiful voice you could imagine.

"Alright, I guess" I said, my voice cracking I turned my head to look out the window. "Where's my mom?" I ask with tears forming in my eyes.

His smile fell, he looked sad at what he was about to tell me, "She...She didn't make it" he looked at the cabinets on the other side of the room as he said this.

Tears fell down my face at the news. A sob left my lips, he glanced up at me before getting up and leaving. "I'll have a nurse come in to check on you in a few, if you need anything call," he said, pointing to the call button on the bed. I nodded not daring to use my voice. He looked down before closing the door.

Why? Why did I have to live and she die? I thought as I let more tears fall down my cheeks. I looked out the window that faced the woods the wind blowing making the branches dance and sway.

I heard her heart beat and the beeping going faster. She's awake. That's good. I thought to myself as I walk to her room at the end of the hall.

When I walked in she looked panicked that familiar feeling of warmth filling my cold, un-beating heart. I quickly checked her vitals to make sure it was nothing serious.

She was staring at me with what looked to be admiration? I smiled at her trying to both calm her and show that I'm not going to hurt her.

Her heart monitor skipped a beat as she looked away. her face filling with the sweet smell of blood. It wasn't an issue for me but it smelled so sweet, others might not be able to resist. At that thought I got a surge of anger. Why would anyone hurt someone as gorgeous as her?  At the thought of anyone hurting her I grew even more angry, but I didn't let it show. no one will ever hurt her. And if they do then they're not gonna live to forgive themselves. It shocked me when I realized what I was thinking, not that I let it show. I moved my attention back to the lovely girl infront of me.

"How do you feel?" I asked her, a smirk making it's way to my lips at her reaction to me.

"Alright, I guess," she replied, her voice cracking. She looked out the window with a look of longing in her eyes. "Where's my mom?" She asked with tears threatening to spill from her eyes.

How was I supposed to tell her? She doesn't deserve to be burdened with that pain. She deserves to know though.  "She...She didn't make it" I looked to the cabinets across the room not daring to look at the heart broken expression.

I heard a sob leave her cracked lips. I took a quick glance at her. How badly I wanted to comfort her, to hold her as she cried into my shoulder while I whispered sweet nothing's in her ear. Letting her know she was still loved in this cruel, heartless world. I got up and walked to the door, if I stay any longer I will act apon these thoughts and lose my job. And as much as I care for her I can't lose this job. I placed my hand on the handle of the door and took a glance at her, it was a movement to quick for her eyes to see.

"I'll have a nurse come in and check on you in a few, if you need anything call," I said while jesturing to the call button on her bed. She nodded her head with tears still falling from her eyes. I looked to the floor questioning if this is the right thing to do, before closing the door.

I walked down the hall and to my office. I closed and locked the door before letting the anger in me out onto the poor papers and other things on my desk. The bang of the heavy things falling to the ground had the staff near by concerned but didn't dare ask if I was alright scared I was going to take it out on them. Having never seen me angry before.

Why? Why does she have to suffer this pain because of some mistake that happened causing her mothers heart attack? I asked myself when I heard a knock on the door.
