*Bakugos POV* 

It was early In the morning and Katsuki Bakugo sat in his usual spot at the back of the classroom, his mind wandering as he stared at Deku. He couldn't help but think about him, his childhood friend and crush. The way Izuku's bright green eyes would light up when he talked about heroes, or the cute freckles that dotted his cheeks when he smiled - Katsuki couldn't get enough of him.

Lost in his daydream, Katsuki barely registered the sound of his homeroom teacher, Mr. Aizawa, droning on about hero regulations. His focus was solely on Deku, and how much he wanted to tell him how he felt. He had been holding back for so long, afraid of rejection or ruining their friendship so he just kept his feelings to himself. He was admiring how cute Deku looked when he spaces out, when suddenly he was jolted back to reality by Mr. Aizawa's sharp voice. "Izuku Midoriya! Pay attention!" the teacher scolded, snapping Katsuki out of his thoughts. Katsuki's heart raced as he watched deku turn back to face the front of the classroom, a sheepish look on his face.

Embarrassed and flustered, Katsuki quickly turned his attention back to Mr. Aizawa, trying to focus on the lesson. But his mind just drifted away again. Even though Bakugo loved Deku he was still mean to him... especially back when they were in middle school, where he developed a bad habit of expressing his love with violence. Which made telling Deku how he felt 100 times harder. 'I mean Deku could never love me back, we may be friends now but after everything that I've done to him...'  He always wanted to tell his Deku true feelings but he's afraid of rejection or making him uncomfortable or even ruining their friendship forever because of the complicated past they share. Which is why this new school project is that much more difficult. 

As Bakugo started to pay attention in class Mr. Aizawa was just about to explain the details of the project. He announced an important project that would be taking place over the next two weeks. The project involved working in pairs at designated houses, with each pair responsible for completing various tasks. Bakugo realized if he he got paired with Deku that would be the worst possible outcome, it could risk him feeling the moment and confessing to Deku. It could ruin the progress they made. 'Wait did Aizawa say they were going to houses? Oh fuck' His breathing started to quicken and so did his heart. Even since he was kidnapped from the LOV he has always been afraid of off campus assignments.

As Mr.Aizawa continued his explanation on the project. "This project will involve pairing up with a classmate and training together to improve both your quirks and your teamwork skills. To decide who your going to be paired with we will be pulling names out of a hat. And no Mineta no boys will be paired with any girls, so don't even think about it." As Minetas devious smile turned into a disappointed frown the class giggled to themselves because they all know how Mineta can get. 'But wait, what about the houses! what if he gets kidnapped again?!' 

"At the end of your 2 weeks there will be a test, you and your partner will be doing a practical exam do demonstrate your growth." Mr. Aizawa continued "The locations of the houses are top secret and only me and the principle knows where they are in order to prevent any LOV (League of villains) attacks." He sighed deeply glad that he would be safe. "Well I don't think there is anything else I have to explain, so were going to pull names out of the hat to decide the groups... and lets get this over with quickly I need a nap." 'Oh no its time.' Bakugos heart began to speed up again and it was pounding so hard he thought it would fly rip and and fly to the other side of the room. At this point he was sure that everyone knew how nervous he was. Then Mr. Aizawa started reading names. "Ok Group one: Uraraka with Tsu. Group 2: Iida with Todoroki. Group three: Denki and Kirishima. Group four: Bakugo With..."

Bakugos heart was beating so fast it almost hurt. Even though this only happened in a matter of seconds, for Bakugo they were the longest  seconds of his  life. "Group Four: Bakugo with Momo." Bakugos heart leaped with joy, knowing that the risk of Deku finding out his secret was gone. Then suddenly Momo spoke up. "um Mr. Aizawa? I forgot to tell you sadly a very dear family member of mine is really sick and they don't have much time. I'm afraid that I cannot do this project. Ill have to do a make up assignment." Mr. Aizawa looked annoyed. "Fine what ever. Instead of Momo and Bakugo as a group. the person being paired up with him is..." Mr. Aizawa began to reach into the hat. 'What No...NO... STUPID MOMO LITTLE BITCH! ITS JUST MY LUCK.' His heart was almost completely out of his chest at this point, and getting desperate he closed his eyes and prayed that Deku wouldn't be his partner.  And as if the gods were playing a sick joke on him Mr. Aizawa read the name on the paper.

"Midoriya" Bakugos heart dropped knowing that it would be impossible not to keep his feelings buried down. And then his impulsive side reacting without him thinking "OH YOU'VE GOT TO BE FUCKING KIDDING ME!" Bakugo relized what he said as soon as it left his mouth, he could see that Deku was hurt by that comment. 'ugg stupid Bakugo why would you say that! that was the worst possible reactionhe could have had' Suddenly Mr. Aizawa spoke up. "well that's the rules sorry." The bell rang and Mr. Aizawa said that he would just email the rest of the groups and the rest of the information regarding what time to come to the school tomorrow. But Bakugo wasn't listening he was to nervous thinking about how hard it would be to keep his feelings from Deku. 'wow this is going to be way fucking harder then I thought. A LOT FUCKING harder.'
