Sam is a smart, rebellious troublemaker, she's also very street-smart. She can also be cunning, occasionally manipulating the people around her for her own benefit as well as others
She is also impulsive, brave, and rough around the edges, and often acts without thinking. She generally doesn't think things through, but it's more out of laziness and impulsiveness than any genuine stupidity.
She puts most of her energy into having fun. She sneaks out to parties or concerts, breaks curfews, is One recurring theme that Haley and her sister Sam take after their mom... but she does put time to do school work and help Haley out
Underneath her tough girl personality, Sam has occasionally shown signs of insecurity, such as feeling like she didn't fit in with her family due to her Grandmother often criticizes her for not putting the effort in her clothes to be more like Haley's..
