My feet hurts. I've been running for hours.

My head hurts. I've been thinking too much.

My heart hurts. I can't find my mate.

I've been searching for five years now. I can't seem to find my mate. I was starting to think that she is dead but as I went around other packs, they said they never had deaths in five years . But none of the packs have my mate.

I can feel her existence, I just don't know which part of the world she's at.

I need to find her.

The pack needs their Luna.

I thought things will go right if turned eighteen but I was wrong. Things are getting worse. For the first two years it was alright. But now,

Now everything is upsidedown. The females haven't had pups. Hundred of them had been pregnant but they did not carry to full term. Young wolves are sick and it's depressing.
If only I could find my mate, everything will fall into place.

What's even worse is that Luca has mated already and his mate, has suffered a pup loss. She gave birth only for the pup to die right in his arms.

Connor hasn't mated yet, and he's my Betta. But he doesn't look like he wants to mate. He is a party freak . Atleast he isn't sleeping around with wolves that's not his mates.

I'm still running in the woods, I can see something running at me. Then I noticed that it's Eric.

Alpha Eric of the Redmoon pack.

I quickly change into my wolf form, he changed into his human form.

“Young Cooper, didn't expect to see you here”.

I changed in to my human form.

“I heard you can't seem to find your mate? That's really sad isn't it? ”

“If you thinking of attacking just because I don't have a Luna, You're getting yourself in a dangerous territory. ”

“ What's an Alpha without a Luna? And a pack without a Luna too, very weak and easily defeated ”.

“We will fight you to death if you think you can win over us”.

“How long does the Greymoon pack have to help you in fights? You're so weak that your mother's family pack has to help you in fights”.

“Call me weak one more time and... ”

“And what? You're surrounded if you could check. And as weak as you are right now, you aren't in a position to give dangerous threats when your own life is at risk”.

Looking around , I noticed some other eight wolves and if i really try to fight, I would loss. It makes me really angry that I'm so weak right now because I haven't mated. And he knows it .

“What do you want, Eric ”?

He's only here because he wants something from me, and there's only one thing he wants that is mine.

Land.

And I am not going to give it to him. My dad and forefathers worked really hard for this land and him threatening me won't make me give it up to him.

“Land,this land. 60 hcts”

“In your dreams . ”

“Well,it up to you. You have only three weeks for decide. If you don't give the land over willingly, I will forcefully take it”.

“We will see about that ”.

He smirked and turned to her puppies, then they ran away.

I'm not back at the house, fuming. I am angry .

Angry at the moon Queen for denying me a chosen mate.

“Calm down Alpha Romeo. Three weeks is a long time maybe by then you would have found your mate”

Betta Emmanuel said. I demanded an urgent meeting with the council to talk about this matter

“Why don't we attack them first? Secretly and kill Alpha Eric ”

That's Emmanuel's mate, Isabella.

“Oh right! And he doesn't know that we might think of doing that? We won't attack ”.

Mother argued and she had a point. He knows that we are not so powerful at the moment.

“We will not do anything. Connor, tighten up the security. Meeting dismissed ”!

Just as we step in the restaurant, all eyes on are on us . We walked freely to the table that's reserved for us. The two gentlemen are already there waiting.

“Afternoon sirs”

Connor greeted while we shook hands.

After a while of discussing, we reached an agreement and now it was time for us to leave. Just as I was about to stand, the doors opened and a smell engulfed my nostrils. The scent, honey like.
I look at the lady who just walked in holding two kids in both her hands. The smell comes from her, the smell that my inner wolf seems to love.
That could only means one thing,

My mate.

She is talking to the girl on the left when she passes our table not even looking at us. Her scent filled my nose and I couldn't control myself anymore.

I have to mark her.

Connor seemed to notice as he quickly shook me reminding me that we are in a human restaurant.
I'm trying to stay still. I'm trying.
But her scent,

Oh moon Queen her scent.

The sweetest scent I've ever smelled. My wolf is excited. I am excited. Connor is excited as well. But I have to control my excitement.

The men leaves and we are now left alone. The small boy says something and she laughs,

That laugh.

Feels so sweet and feels like home.

A waitress approached them and they orded.

My eyes moved to her hair. How soft it looks, I wonder how it smells
Her pulse on her neck seems to be calling me.
I clench my jaw, trying to control myself.
My hands are in fists.

“It's her. ”

Connor said in a happy tone. The smile on his face is so big.
Just like mine.

I've finally found her, but there's something wrong. She seems,

Human.

But at the same time she seems like a wolf.

“She is half human ”.

The words in my head leaves Connor's mouth. He smile had died. This is bad luck.

I can't have a half human mate.
