Ok so I read my other chapters and they are reaaaaaaaalllyyyy bad and I will hopefully go back and fix them soon but I'm sorry for that but if you are still reading this it will get better I hope. Anyways, here's the long chapter...

----------------------------------

Friday
I woke up, slowly opening my eyes and looking over at the clock, realizing it's already 9:45. I walked across the hall to the bathroom, taking a shower. I trudged back to my room, going to grab my clothes. My phone buzzed and I walked over to get it. I got a text from Alex:

Alex-I will be over at 3 to get you ready for tonight. ;)

I read the text and realized that I had tonight was the night that I have been waiting for since the day I turned 10, I'm going "to hang out" with Jacob!

3:00
My door bell rang. "It's open!!!" I yelled. Alex ran into my room carrying some outfits and shoes from her closet. "Ok, so you are gunna wear these dark denim skinny jeans, with the brown belt, the blue buttoned shirt, and brown flats. Now go put it on." She pushed me into the bathroom and I did as I was told. I opened the door and she was standing their with the curling iron and my makeup bag. She pushed me back into the bathroom while she grabbed a stool from my room. I grabbed my phone and did as Alex told me. 45 minutes later, my hair was perfectly curled and my makeup beautifully done. Alex walked over to my closet and grabbed my Vera Bradley wristlet and threw it at me. I caught and put some money and my phone inside. We walked downstairs and both plopped onto the couch.

"Ok, sooooo how do you feel, after waiting for this day forever?" Alex smirked. I grabbed the nearest pillow and threw it at her face. We laughed. "Seriously though."

"Well I'm nervous since I never really dated anyone in high school so this is one of my first dates, but I'm good. And it's not a real date. We are just hanging out and catching up." Alex immediately laughed at me and I gave her a confused glance. She opened her mouth to day something but glanced at the clock. She yelled and yanked my arm to my car.

"Go!!! Your gunna be late!!!!!" She yelled as I laughed, starting the car.

"Bye tell you everything later!!!" I yelled back as I pulled out of my driveway. I took out my phone and put in the address to his house. I made it to his house in a few minutes. I locked my car door and nervously walked up his driveway.

I walked up to his front step, hesitantly pressing the doorbell. The door opened to reveal him, wearing tan cargo shorts, a white shirt, black Nike sneakers, and a backwards baseball hat.

"Hey." He looked me up and down. "You ready?" He said while stepping out of his house. "Yeah." I said nervously. "Ok." He lead me to his car. I got into the passenger seat as he got into the driver seat.

"So, uh, where are we going?" I asked quietly. "Is it ok if we go mini golfing? And then we can go to dinner if you want?" He glanced over at me before looking back at the road. "That'd be great." I smiled over at him and he smiled back.

"So, how have you been?" He asked me.

"I've been good. I mean I applied to a few colleges but I haven't gotten any letter back so I'm worried about school, but how about you?" I had realized I was rambling and quickly shut my mouth. He laughed at my rambling but answered my question anyway, "Well, I've been good too. My baseball has been really good, so I applied to a few colleges with really good baseball programs. I also haven't gotten any letters back but I'm not too worried...We're here."

I looked up at a sign that said Tally's Totally Fun Minigolf. I got out of the car and walked around the front to the other side where Jacob was standing. We walked to the window to pay. The man behind the register handed us two clubs and a navy blue and orange ball. "$24 is your total." I went to grab my wristlet to pay half but Jacob already had put his hand in his pocket and pulled out $25. The guy gave Jacob back his change.

We started walking towards the first hole. "I could have paid half ya know." I said and looked up at Jacob. He looked down, "That's not how it works. I pay tonight." He laughed. I still looked at him. "What?" He asked me. "I'm serious." I really wasn't kidding. "It's fine Grace. We are hanging out. It's cool." He smiled down at me. I smiled back. "Ok."
-----------------------------------
"I won!!" I yelled as I got a hole in one on the last hole.

"No you didn't." Jacob was still looking at the score card.

"Who cares anyways. We had fun." I grabbed the score card out of his hand and threw it in the trash. Jacob took my club and gave both of them to the guy. We walked back to the truck and debated on where to eat.

"I say we go to the ice cream diner place down the street." I really wanted ice cream considering it was summer and it was hot.

"Alright. Sounds like a plan. Let's go." He caved after a few minutes of convincing.

As we drove, we talked about old times. "Remember when that new kid came for a year, I knew him, and he called me his cousin even though we weren't and you had a crush on him?" Jacob loved joking about all the embarrassing things I did in school.

"Yes I remember vividly. He was kidding about how short I was compared to him and I hugged him. I was soooo embarrassed. And I told you to never bring that up again!" My face turned red as a retold the story. I playfully hit him on the arm. We both laughed together as we remembered everything.

"We're here!!!!!!!" I yelled as a I jumped out of the car and ran to the door. I waited for Jacob to get out of the car. He took forever. We walked in "A table for two?" The woman behind the podium asked. We both nodded in response. She led us to a table in the back. It was one of the mini tables with two chairs right across from each other. We sat down and ordered out drinks.

"So uhm I've been thinking about what happened to us in high school and I'm really sorry for ignoring you. You are an awesome girl. I'm glad I've gotten to know you a bit better today Grace." Jacob was making direct eye contact with me as he said that. I wanted to melt right there. Become a new piece of tile on the floor. His eyes were beautiful and the words that he spoke were sensational. I blushed and looked at my lap before reconnecting our eyes.

"That was really sweet. Same here. And it's ok. I was focused on my school work and dance a lot so I didn't get out much." We both a laughed lightly.

Back at Jacob's house...
"I'm glad we could hang out tonight. Maybe we can go on an actual date one time?" Me and Jacob were standing right in front of my car. And I could tell Jacob was nervous, just how he turned that into a question.

"I'd love that. Oh and thanks for a great time tonight." I smiled at him before getting into my car.

"Your welcome. Oh, How about Sunday? We can go ice skating at the indoor rink." Jacob was so cute with his hands in his pockets like that.

"That'd be awesome. I will see you then." I have him one of my authentic smile before rolling up the window, pulling out of driveway and yelling at the top of my lungs how happy I was. I was going on an actual date with Jacob!!!
