Let's speed this up a little bit.
It has been 3 months since the last time Zac and Fatima has spoken or seen each other. They haven't been in contact with each other because of Fatima's stubbornness and Zac has been trying to give her the space she asked for.
Currently Zac was in the kitchen finishing up breakfast for Kennedy before dropping her off to Erin's parents for the day.
Zac: Princess come wash your hands. Breakfast is ready.
Kennedy: Ok Daddy.
Kennedy walked in to the kitchen to wash her hands with the hand soap.
Zac: I made your favorite. Blueberry waffles with sausage and eggs.
Kennedy: Did you put a smiley face on my waffles? (Sits down)
Zac: Of course I did. Daddy isn't new to this baby girl. (Places her plate down in front of her.)
Kennedy smiles as she puts syrup on her waffles.
Kennedy: Daddy Do you think TT Tima still loves me?
Zac: She loves you so very much. What made you ask that?
Kennedy: She left me just like mommy did.
Zac: Princess she didn't leave you.
Kennedy: she doesn't come around anymore. She doesn't even come for family night.
Zac: That's because daddy said something really mean to TT Tima and it made her mad.
Kennedy: Did you say sorry? Grandma said an apology is the first step in to fixing your mistakes.
Zac: (mumbles) Grandma needs to tell her husband that.
Kennedy: Huh?
Zac: Nothing. TT Tima told me that she needed some space from me, so that's what I'm giving her.
Kennedy: Why does she need space when she loves you?
Zac: Sometimes people who love each other need some time apart to find ways to be better people to each other.
Kennedy: Daddy you were being a bad friend to TT Tima?
Zac: Yeah just a little bit and I was wrong for doing that. I'm going to fix it.
Kennedy: Yeah you have to because that was mean.
Zac: I know, but listen to me. I need you to know that TT Tima loves you so much. No matter whatever happens between me and her; she always will. When you were a baby, TT Tima used to hide you whenever it was time for me to come pick you up from her house.
Kennedy: Really?
Zac: Yeah she would never want you to leave. She used to hide you in the closet behind a bunch of clothes. You were a very beautiful baby. I used to have to fight auntie London, grandma, and TT Tima just to hold you.
Kennedy laughs.
Zac: Also your mommy loved you more than anything. The day she found out she was pregnant with you was the best day of her life. She never wanted to leave you. It's just things like this happen and it was her time to go. She was able to rest easy knowing that daddy will always be here for you and I will never let anything happen to you. Plus she knew that I would keep you as her happy baby. Aren't you happy? (Tickles her)
Kennedy:(giggles) Yes.
Zac: Good. Come on. Let's eat, so you can go to grandma and grandpa's house to eat baked goods and stay up late.
Kennedy: I don't just eat cookies at grandma's house.
Zac: Oh I'm sorry candy too right?
Kennedy: Yes.
