Heeseung quickly pushed those thoughts aside when he heard Ni-ki coughing. He lifted his hand off of Ni-ki's forehead, taking note that Ni-ki at least wasn't flinching or pushing physical touch away. That would make this easier.

"Let's go to the kitchen and get you medicine, okay?" Heeseung spoke, trying to read Ni-ki's expression. Like earlier, he didn't speak so Heeseung assumed it would be okay. He stood up off of the bed, glancing back towards Ni-ki and expecting him to follow. Ni-ki stood up as well and when Heeseung started walking, wobbled due to the dizziness but regained balance and caught back up with the other.

Ni-ki sniffled softly and wiped his nose with his sleeve. He waddled a few feet behind Heeseung, blindly following the oldest and when he suddenly stopped, crashed into Heeseung's back. Though clearly surprised, Heeseung was quick to reach around and take hold of Ni-ki's shoulders to stabilize him. It was weird how he'd been acting lately. First, he'd been allowing physical touch. Second, whining and acting 'cute'. Finally, he'd been acting so reliant on others, though as Heeseung had noticed, Ni-ki was mainly relying on him, which was just so out of character for him.

After he'd been stabilized, Ni-ki sneezed quietly into the crook of his elbow and looked at Heeseung expectantly. After a few seconds of making sure Ni-ki wouldn't tip over again, he held the maknae's waist and guided him the rest of the way to the kitchen. He let go of Ni-ki and started rummaging through cabinets, looking for painkillers and fever medicine.

Ni-ki frowned softly. Why had his hyung just left him standing there? He was supposed to be looking after him and had instead, apparently, decided that the cabinets were more interesting than Ni-ki. He slid down, sitting down with his back against the counter and sighed.

Heeseung pulled two pill bottles out of the cabinet and a glass, turning around and filling the cup with water. He then set the cup on the counter and noticed Ni-ki who had moved to sit on the floor. Maybe he was just really, really tired, because there were chairs on the other side of the counter. He had just been acting so strange.

After retrieving the pills, he brought the glass to the ground next to Ni-ki and handed him the pills.

"Take them, please." He gestured to the pills in Ni-ki's hands. "they'll make you feel better, and then we can go back to bed."

Ni-ki looked down at the pills in his hand, immediately cringing. He wasn't taking those. Shaking his head, he handed them back to the older.

Heeseung sighed in annoyance. "Ni-ki, please, you're sick and they'll make you feel better."

Whining softly, Ni-ki folded his arms over his chest. "Mm-mm."

Again with the whining, why was he acting like that? He'd never done this before. Whenever he was sick, he always complied. He always did what he needed to do to feel better. Heeseung went over all the questions in his head. There were just no answers. There must've been some reason he was behaving this way, though. He was acting like a child for gods' sake.

After thinking for a few seconds, Heeseung pushed Ni-ki's hand back towards him. "Please take them.. I- I really don't have time to negotiate with you right now. Please take them, you're sick." He urged Ni-ki to take the medicine.

Ni-ki mulled over what Heeseung had just said. It made absolutely no sense, it just sounded like a jumble of words. Why couldn't he understand what Heeseung was saying? Tears sprung to his eyes again, and he dropped the pills to the floor. Heeseung furrowed his brows, obviously just more upset that Ni-ki was so unwilling to take the medicine. Before he was going to say anything, he already noticed tears falling from Ni-ki's eyes and immediately sat down next to him and rubbed his back.

"Fine. You don't need to take them. Ni-ki, just please talk to me. Please. I don't know what's wrong. And please don't- don't cry.." Heeseung pleaded, frowning at the younger who had let out a quiet sob.

Ni-ki sniffled and leaned his head onto Heeseung's shoulder. Because that didn't even make sense. His brain couldn't comprehend what Heeseung was even saying to him, and that thought frustrated him so much, and he had no other way to respond than to cry more.

Again, Heeseung was just so unfamiliar with Ni-ki's behavior. He rarely ever cried, especially in front of his members and hated when people tried to comfort him if he were, and now he was seeking comfort out. There had to be an explanation, right?

After sitting there for a few minutes, Ni-ki had stopped crying and Heeseung took it as an opportunity to clean Ni-kis' already tear-covered face. He stood up and grabbed a towel, then sat back down and dipped it in the glass Ni-ki had decided not to drink from. He carefully wiped the tears from Ni-ki's cheeks, and while doing so noticed the odd look from Ni-ki. It seemed almost like one of admiration, one that could be described as childlike. It was all just so odd how Ni-ki had began acting like a child.

Though it was sort of cute.

He finished cleaning Ni-ki's face, noticing the tired look that had started to take shape on the maknae's face. Stroking Ni-ki's hair, he sighed softly.

"Do you want to go to bed?" He asked softly.

Ni-ki just turned his attention towards Heeseung and gave him a tired look. No answer, just staring at him. God, why was he not speaking Japanese? He could at least understand it if he were. Why couldn't his Hyung speak in a language he actually understood?

Heeseung frowned and took the pills off of the ground, throwing them out in the garbage and placing the cup in the sink. He then put the rag on the counter and helped Ni-ki stand. He noticed the amount of weight that Ni-ki was putting on him, practically leaning on him fully. After helping Ni-ki stabilize, he was able to start leading the boy back to his room. Before he could even open the door to Ni-ki's room, a loud whine escaped the maknae who had finally figured out that he was being put back to bed and was clearly unhappy about having to sleep in his own bed. Alone.

Tears welled up in his eyes and he gave Heeseung a desperate look, who quickly shrunk back towards the boy.

"Do you want to sleep with me? Okay. Okay, we can do that. I can do that." Heeseung said, gesturing towards his own room.

Ni-ki quickly nodded at that and blinked the tears back, following the other into his room. He wobbled towards the bed and lied down, nestling under the comforter and was already closing his eyes when he felt the mattress dipping next to him. He opened one of his eyes and saw Heeseung, immediately snuggling up to him and resting his head on Heeseung's arm and quickly falling asleep.
