chapter 0: a brief introduction

Hi! My name is toko horikama, and I'm a hero in training at ua High school. My quirk is called animal heritage, and it's really cool. When I got my power, I became a living archive of the animal kingdom because I can become any animal that has existed, whether it's alive or dead. I told you it was cool.

But life was hard for a while. I was bullied because of my quirk. I still don't understand why I mean, it's an ability, not a disability. But I got lucky my cousin tsuyu didn't hef quirk was frog and she basically became a human frog hybrid and she was bullied for being a freak needless to say punched a few classmates in the face, I was always there for tsu but I unfortunately had to move schools because one of my classmates attempted to stab me. The principle was sympathetic and arranged for me to be moved to a different school in the first half of my last year at Middle school, I was sad to leave tsu on her own but she assured me that she was OK.

In this new school, I met the most important people in my life apart from my parents, and they are kyoka jiro and koji koda. The reason koda is important is because the drawback of my quirk, when t transform their are two competing minds my mind and the mind of the animal so staying in control requires a lot of training and if my mind isn't the one that takes control then I go in to what I call bezerk mode where the primal instinct of the creature take hold some times its a good thing but some it can be detrimental to mine and others safety and one time I went bezerk koji used his qiurk anivoice to calm down the animals mind allowing me to take control and since then we've been best friends. And kyoka, she's the best friend you could possibly have she's kind and supportive, their was one time I had a meltdown in front of her ad she wouldn't leave my side for 3 weeks talhats actually how we started dating and she's been holding my up since then.
