Eclipse sits at his normal spot in the outside area of a cafe, leaning back in the chair. He sits with one leg sat on top of the other. He holds up his phone with one hand and scrolls every now and then.
A waitress comes up to him and sets down his usual coffee on the small circular table placed outside. (What type of coffee does he drink? 👀)
"Would you like to order anything else, sir?" The waitress asks. Eclipse pauses and looks up at her. He then sits up and shakes his head.
"No," he says. The waitress walks away and Eclipse picks up the cup and drinks from it.
The air is hot, and a slight breeze blows. It's summer in a large city partly built on a mountain. It's also a monday, so almost everyone is extra grumpy and annoyed today. The traffic is hectic and loud, the streets are busy, and the plants and animals in the surroundings are bright and energetic as always.
A timer on Eclipse's phone goes off, and lets him know it's time to get going. He sighs and quickly finishes his coffee before getting up and leaving a tip on the table. Eclipse picks up his small black and gray bag and swings it around onto his back, holding onto one of the straps with one of his hands.
Eclipse walks down the street will looking at his phone. He checks his notifications and sees that he has a voicemail from one of his old friends from high school. Well, actually it's from two of his friends from high school, who are both in college now.
Eclipse plays the voicemail and puts it up to his ear so he can hear better and still watch the road in front of him for cars before he crosses.
"Hey, Burnt Dorito!" A energetic high pitched voice says through the phone.
"How's life been treating you?" A more calm and slightly deeper voice asks, AKA Moon.
"We're doing well, and guess what!" The energetic voice comes back, AKA Sun, becoming higher pitched from excitement .
"Calm down, Sunny!" Moon says. "Are you sure you want to tell him now?" Moon chuckles as what Eclipse guesses is Sun grabbing the phone out of his hands from the noise.
"MOON PROPOSED TO ME!!!!" Sun shouts at the phone. Eclipse feels surprised for a moment, before laughing to himself.
"Moon did always joke about marrying his partner soon." Eclipse whispers under his breath, smiling softly.
"Okay, okay, calm down Sun! Seriously, you're going to break the phone!" Moon tells Sun through laughter. "And, yes, Eclipse, you're obviously invited."
"And you are allowed to bring someone extra with you!" Sun informs. "We know you've always liked to be alone, and I know you're also not interested in love, but who knows! Maybe you have someone special now! A friend, a family member, or even a little one! I remember how you made a joke once, and Moon wouldn't stop teasing you about one day adopting. Anyways, I'll text you the date and time! Hope you're doing good! Bye Vampire Cheez-it!"
