As they entered school, The school bell blared, signaling the start of the first period. Nobita hurried to his class, his mind buzzing with thoughts of how to approach Dekisugi. He knew he had to find a way to bridge the gap and build a stronger friendship. Fortunately, Suneo seemed more than eager to help.

He stole a glance at Dekisugi, who was already seated at his desk, a focused expression on his face. Nobita felt a pang of nervousness. Talking with Dekisugi seemed easy in theory, but putting it into practice felt daunting.

Throughout the morning lessons, Nobita wracked his brain for a conversation starter. He considered asking Dekisugi about his favorite subject, but that felt predictable. He even contemplated borrowing a gadget from Dorami (with permission, of course!), but the idea of relying on future technology felt like a cheap trick.

Finally, During the lunch break as Nobita and Suneo walked towards the cafeteria, they lagged behind everyone else. Nobita leaned closer to Suneo and whispered,

Nobita: So, did you think of a plan?

Suneo glanced around to make sure no one else could hear them, then smirked

Suneo: Don't you know who your friend is

Nobita: yeah! A Fox 🦊

Suneo: Shut up, I am a member of the school council

Nobita: So

Suneo: So, as you know dekisugi is the school council's president and If you became a member of the council you will automatically get a reason to talk with dekisugi and you will also have a reason to talk with Shizuka you two might become more close.

Nobita considered Suneo's suggestion, weighing the pros and cons. It was a solid plan, but it also meant stepping out of his comfort zone.

Nobita: But how do I join the council? Wasn't the last day to join the council ended 15 days ago

Suneo: Leave that to me. I'll talk to Dekisugi and put in a good word for you. Besides, he can't ignore your puppy eyes 🥺

As Nobita and Suneo pondered their next move, a voice interrupted their hushed conversation.

Ren: Hey, guys! Mind if I join you for lunch?

Suneo and Nobita turned to see Ren, (Suneo's seatmate) smiling warmly at them. Suneo quickly masked his surprise and nodded.

Suneo: Sure, Ren. Join us!

They made their way to a table in the cafeteria and settled down with their lunches. Ren, oblivious to the tension, happily dug into his meal.

Ren: So, what were you two talking about?

Nobita: We were talking about... homework.

Suneo shot Nobita a look that said 'nice save,' and Ren seemed to accept the explanation without suspicion.

Ren, munching on his sandwich, looked up from his meal with a curious twinkle in his eye.

Ren: Homework, huh? Anything interesting?

Suneo, seizing the opportunity to steer the conversation away from their secret plan, launched into an exaggerated tale of their latest math assignment, complete with wild hand gestures and dramatic pauses. Nobita played along, adding his own comedic flair to the story.

Ren laughed heartily at their antics, clearly entertained.

Ren: You guys should start a comedy show. I'd watch it!
