Chapter 3: "Where's She?"

Cordelia Anderson's POV
I haven't heard from my daughter since over two years now. I was in my sitting room when I heard the door bell. Rachel opens the door. I hear deep voices outside.

"Can we see the owner of this house?"

"Umm, I'm coming" Rachel replied as she wanted to ask me.

"Let them in" I ordered. She opens the door wide for them to come in.

Three men dressed in black walk in.

"Good day madam" one of them greets me with a deep voice

"What do I owe this visit?" I ask as one of them smirks

"Our boss sent us here to bring you with us" The short one says

"Your boss?" I asked as I wanted to record what they were saying.

"Madam, please can you hand over your phone to us?" The deep voice goon says

"Um, okay" I say as I realize that whoever these guys maybe, must have other men outside.

"If I may ask who's your boss?"

"Madam, if you follow us, you'd find
out" they say in unison.

"Rachel, please take care of the house, if you don't see me in the next few hours you know what to do" I say as Rachel nods

"Thanks for your cooperation, Madame" Says one of the goons who was huge .

As we walked outside, I saw other men about five.

"This can only be one person, Lorenzo Romano" I thought

There were three black cars parked. One of the men led me into one of them and soon we were on our way to God knows where. Three men were in the car. Soon we got to a point where one of the goons blind folded me. In a few minutes, the car came to a halt. I was led out into a building.

Getting into a room, they removed the blindfold and told me to sit on a sofa.
I sat down and in a few minutes, the door opened. The person I saw wasn't a surprise cause I knew it was him.

Lorenzo Romano

"Hey, Cordelia" The man in his late sixties says.

"Why did you bring me here?"

"I didn't, my men did"

"And you give them orders"

"Yes" he says without denial.

A goon who was in the room brings a chair in front of me in which Mr Romano sits on and leans closer to me.
"Where's she?" He asks with a deep voice

"Who?"

"The child which was in your womb after we had an affair"

"A child?"

"Yes, my love. In fact they were twins but one died after thirteen years"

Lorenzo and I had an affair. I was working with him then after I told him I was pregnant, he paid me off as he said that he has a new found love. How much you may ask; $1,000,000.
I know it wasn't worth it but I had no choice. I placed the pregnancy on my boyfriend that he was responsible for it and luckily he was rich, he had no choice but to marry me.

"I had a miscarriage after I left" I lied

"Really, but you conceived before you could recover and still bore the child before that nine months interval"

"Y-es"

"Lies"

"I ask again, Where's she?"

"What do you need her for?"

"You know I never leave anything or anyone that belongs to me"

"She doesn't belong to you"

"She does, cause she's my daughter" he says.

Truly, she is

"What are you going to do to her?"

"Nothing, like I said she's my daughter, now where's she" he asks with a stern voice as he presses my cheeks together.

"Ok, ok, I'll tell you" I say in pain as he leaves me

"Good"

"The last time I spoke with her she was in Chicago"

"And that was?"

"Two years ago"

"Two years ago!, you don't even care for her"

"I do, and what do you need her for"

"It's none of your business, Cory" he says as I get a hint of his Italian accent.

"So can I leave now?"

"Yes" he says as he signals one the goon to blind fold me.

"I wonder what he's hiding" I thought

The goon leads me out when he was done and we exit the building and enter the car. This time only one car escorted us. I got home safely.and I was worried for my daughter.

I was watching a movie on my phone when I received an email from Guerra Technologies. I was selected for the interview which was on Monday.
