Song: Snow Patrol - I Won't Let You Go
Implied Vikklan - Poofless - Merome

"Are you kidding me? That's just ridiculous, Vikk!" A teen with a bear hat gaped, peering over the edge of the skyscraper him and his five other friends had climbed to. Mitch sat back, not even daring to look down.
"Hey, I told you all this one was going to be crazy. It's possible I swear, only a four block jump. Then you're on the other building and you're twenty-five THOUSAND dollars better for it!" The Britt replied, running a dark hand through his windswept hair.
"There's gambling and then there's life and death-" Jerome stopped and turned with all the others when he heard footsteps pounding against the pebbles on the roof. Lachlan's mind and eyes were shut, trying not to think of any other sort of outcome different from him hitting that other roof.
Six hearts stopped when two feet left the safety of the roof. Almost slowing down time,
Lachlan's icy eyes began to peer open. He was completely limp, flying forward through the air.
And then his chest hit the gravel of the next top, a small scream finally being allowed to break through the Australian's mouth as he tumbled for a few seconds.
"He did it!" Preston cheered, hopping up and down. His lava mob beanie almost slipped off, and he quickly readjusted with a hand. Lachlan started to laugh when he finally regained his breath.
"Oh my god, the adrenaline is fudging crazy! That the most fun thing I've ever done!" Lachlan laughed.
"Oh, so do you want to do it again for another-"
"Fuck off, Vikk! The first building is higher!"
With a mock offended look, the gambler-teen placed a trembling hand on his heart. He turned around, a small grin on his face.
"Anyone else up for it? Remember, you lose 25k if you back out!" The other four were only mildly surprised to hear the new term; Vikk's antics weren't usually very fair. Rob, Preston and Jerome glanced at each other in determination. Mitch stood back a bit, still trying not to be noticed. He hid his shaking hands in his hoodie pockets.
"O-ok, can you guys, like, count down from five?" Rob was the first one to speak, voice somehow an even higher pitch than normal. Preston and Jerome grinned almost evilly, nodding their heads yes.
"Five."
"Four." Rob took a deep breath, getting into a stance.
"Three."
"Two-ONE!" Preston shouted excitedly, grasping tightly onto Rob's hand and pulling him forward. The Canadian barely had time to blush before they were both in the air, wind whistling down their ears. Fear gripped onto Rob like a pair of icy fangs.
Preston glanced at him before they hit the other roof, a huge toothy grin on his face, his deep brown eyes melting the doubt.
The two tumbled 'gracefully' just as Lachlan did. When they finally came to a halt, still grasping each other's hands tightly, they started to laugh until it hurt.
"You know." Vikk hurriedly spoke, turning around. "You guys don't have to jump, I promise. I'll lower the free to 15k, even!" The Britt wasn't expecting his grounds to be so eager, and at this point he wouldn't even be making a profit from this gamble.
"Vikk, what? Did you say 'I have to jump'?" Jerome teased, a playful glint in his eyes.
"No! I'd actually appreciate it if-"
"I jumped right now?"
"Quit it!" Vikk yelled in exasperation, but he decided to throw off his worries for a second in place for a small smile. The six hadn't had this much fun in a while. Just forgetting about all the drama.
Cheers echoed across the otherwise silent sky as Jerome had jumped, taking out Lachlan like a bowling pin when he landed.
Now that the majority had crossed the jutting chasm, taunts were being thrown across.
"C'mon you two, it's seriously so much fun!" Lachlan grinned, patting dust off of him from Jerome's collision. He was having too much of a good time to be mad about it though.
Several shouts went over. Mitch was still leaning back against one of the roof top air conditioners, shaking his head continuously.
"Vikk! Please, come on over! You won't have to pay me if you come over!" Lachlan's sweet voice rang through what seemed like a void between the two, and that's the last bit it took for the Britt to make the jump. He still needed casino funds after all. It had nothing to do with Lachlan begging.
Mitch opened his eyes a peek to realize that he was, in fact, the last person left. All five of his friends looked at him eagerly. There was no way the Hunger Games King would miss out on this.
"I-I ca-an't." Mitch mumbled, frozen up. He would fall. He was going to fall.
"Mitch?" Jerome lowered his voice, concerned.
A loud crash rattled behind the PvPer, making him stumble. He felt dizzy, as if the world was tilting.
The buildings Vikk had led his friends to were very old, soon to be demolished. He had had to lead them here; these were the only skyscrapers you were allowed to climb to the top of, since they were abandoned.
Very old. Soon to be demolished.

It only took a few more seconds for Mitch to realize that the actual building was tilting, instead of his mind.
His friends were screaming at him. Move.
Please. Now.
"Jerome, STOP!" Lachlan screamed, just barely managing to hold back his friend from trying to take another leap. "That building is a story higher, there's no way to make it!"
The teen nodded bleakly, but still sat at the edge. Mitch was slipping. He wouldn't be able to make a running start soon.
"Please, biggums, please come here. I promise I will NEVER, EVER LET YOU GO!" Jerome cried. Silence.
Mitch tore himself forward, vision focusing onto Jerome's arms when his feet left the roof, body hurtling forward.
That body crashed onto Jerome, sending the bear hat flying and the teens on their backs. They had just enough perception to hear the earsplitting noise of the other building collapsing, thank Notch, to the side.
When Mitch opened his eyes, five worried pairs stared back. They all seemed to burst into voice at once.
"I'm sorry I shouldn't have brought you up here-"
"I didn't know you were scared of heights!"
"You're not hurt are you biggums, can you hear me!?"
"I'll pay you 50k I swear-"
Mitch laughed, shutting his eyes. Silence swept over the other five as he laughed like there was no tomorrow, tears starting to from in his eyes.

"I love you guys."
