4. Suite: The Garden Of Hate

Questa é una suite di tre parti:

I) Godslap
II) Bewildered
III) Introvert

Per chi non lo sa, una suite é una composizione musicale divisa in più parti interne, in cui vengono eseguiti dei temi musicali, caratteristici per ogni parte. Una suite può talvolta presentare un Ouverture (apertura), in cui vengono eseguiti tutti i temi, o solo alcuni di essi, delle parti che si ascolteranno nella suite.
É facile immaginare, quindi, che le suites (sia operistiche che rock) abbiano una lunga durata. Ecco perché, onde evitare di annoiarsi o di perdersi nella lunga composizione, é preferibile segnarsi o tenere ben in vista le parti della suite che si sta ascoltando. Infine, metto in evidenza come le suites abbiano un'atmosfera di epicità, anche se possono trattare di vari argomenti, sia sociali che personali, e così via.

Questi sono due esempi di suites rock e metal, che nascono nel contesto della cosiddetta musica progressive:

Cosmic Symphony - Flying Colors 11:53 (suddivisa in tre parti)

Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence - Dream Theater 42:00 (suddivisa in otto movimenti interni) - (quest'ultima vi straconsiglio di ascoltarla, nonostante l'enorme lunghezza; vi sembrerà di ascoltare un intero album composto da otto canzoni collegate l'una all'altra, ed inoltre il tema della canzone sono le malattie della mente umana. Vi consiglio di leggere l'articolo in proposito su Wikipedia prima di ascoltarla. Vi piacerà moltissimo, ne sono sicuro)

Ma bando alle ciance, ecco i testi e le canzoni che vi consiglierò di ascoltare per ogni parte, in modo da farvi percepire l'atmosfera giusta...
