📍Jaisalmer Fort
Devyani was sitting in her room in the window reading a fictional novel. She was reading and blushing herself. Suddenly someone came and knocked on the door but she was lost reading the book. Abhimaan directly opened the door .
"Devuuuu" he shouted. Listening his voice, devyani was shocked the book in her hand fell down and she was trying to stand quickly but her leg got stucked in the long smiple skirt she wore and she collapsed down.
"Aahhhhhh" she shouted . Abhimaan quickly ran towards her. Kalyani was passing by listening Devyani shouting she quickly ran to her room.
"Devuuu diii??? Kya hua??? Why did you shout so loud???" Asked kalyani
"Chiilaaye nahi toh kya kare ham???? Aur Bhaiii!! Aapko andar aate huye knock krna chahiye na" said her
"Devyani aap rukiye pehele aayiye yaha upar bethiye" said abhimaan lifting her up on his arms and making her comfortably sit on the bed. He sat on his knees and took her leg on his lap. Studing her ankle, he got to know that her ankle twisted so hard that's the reason she's not able to stand.
“Accha leave these things. I’m okay. Aap kahiye, kyu ay the yaha?” Asked Devyani to Abhiman
“Haan who baba bula rahe the aapko toh”
“hame?? Kyu koi kaam tha??””
“haa vesa hi kuch samjhiye”
“Accha thik hai aap aage jaye ham aate hai”
“Pakka aap thik hai??”
“haan bhai ham thik hai” listeing to her both kalyani and abhiman left the room. Devyani stood from her place and walked towards the window, she saw her book fallen down, she picked it up and kept it in the bookshelf and she walked out from the room.
“Aapne hame bulaya baba?” asked Devyani knocking the door of her father’s room
“Haan laado aayiye.”
“kahiye baba kuch kaam tha?”
“Haan kuch jaruri baat karni thi aapse”
“Kahiye naa” listeining to her, Vijay Singh walked towards the sidedrawer of the bed, opend the drawer and grabbed a envelop kept in it and came back near Devyani.
“Laado… hmmm” said him giving the envelop to her
“what is this baba??”
“Aap kholke toh dekhiye” listening to him , Devyani opened the envelop. Found a photograph of a young handsome man. Looking at the photo, Devyani got a hint what it was.
“Ye Suryansh Singh Ranawat hai , Chittorgarh ke raja bhadraprtap Singh ka ek lauta beta” said him “ham chahte hai ki aap inse shadi karle” he continued. Listening to his words, Devyani was shocked but then she calmed herself.
“Par baba jaha tak hame pata hai, Ranawat khandan se hamare talukhat bohot kam hai , ham kahenge ki kuch hai hi nahi.. phir bhi???” asked her
“Talukhat kam hai iska matlab ye nahi ki hamari koi dushmani hai unke sath. Unki tarafse rishta aya tha, toh hamne socha aapse ek baar puch le… Kya aap inse shadi karengi??” Devyani was confused. She didn’t know what to answer. Thinking for a while she answered “Agar aapko lgta hai ye hamare liye sahi hai toh ham taiyaar hai” Listening to her answer, Vijay Singh was happy. He thought it would take a lot of efforts to convince he but it didn’t.“Shukriya laado” said him
“ Isme shukriya ki kya baat hai baba, hame aap pr pura bharrosa hai aap hame kabhi galat hatah mein nahi sopenge” she said with a smile “Ham chalte hai” __________________________________________________
Devyani was sitting in her room admiring the photo. His name was echoing in her ears “Suryansh” she whispered. While she was busy, Abhiman opened the door of her room and quickly came inside along with his wife Varushi
“Deevuuuuuuu” shouted abhiman
“Bhai!! Aap phirse chilate huye andar aa gaye” Devyani listening his voice was again scared.
“Inka chillarakhiye baju mein pehele ye bataiye , aapne shadi ke liye haan kar di??” Asked varushi in her just one breath.
“Haan hamne kar di” replied Devyani
“Kyuu???” Asked Abhimaan
“Bhai kyuki baba ko lagta hai ye hamare liye sahi hai is liye kar di”
“Devuuuu , Kab tak dusron ke baren mein sochte rahengi aap kabhi toh apne baren mei sochiye…. “ Varushi
“Bhabhi maa , aisa kuch nahi hai jaise aap soch rahi hai , baba ko ye ladka pasand hai aur jo baba ki pasand wahi hamari pasand.”
“Matlab ab aap hame chodke chali jayengi??” aksed Abhiman with baby face
“Shayad” said Devyani scratching her head with her index finger
“Sacchi aap is shadi se khush hai??” Varushi
“Bhai , Bhabi ham sach bol rahe hai , hamne apni marjise haan ki hai , aur hame yakeen hai baba hamare sath kabhi galat nahi hone dnge” said Devyani with a smile on her face. Listening toh her reply, Varushi and Abhiman once looked at eachother, they were speechless… Abhiman knew She trush Baba a lot but still he didn’t wanted her to marry Suryansh because……………………
PRESENT DAY…. Listening to the songs, Devyani slept. Someone came and knocked on the door which forced Devyani to get out of her sleep. “Ab kon aa gaya” said her and she stood from her bed. Rubbing her eyes for clear vision, she found herself in a different room and remembered she is not anymore in Jaisalmer fort , she was in Ranawat haveli right now she looked in the mirror , set her hairs quickly and opened the door found Nandini standing out with a tray of tea and some biscuts in a plate.
“Maa aap?? Aaye na” Said her opening the door wide and moving aside
“Soo rahi thi kya aap”
“Haan wo bethe bethe aankh lag gayi thi”
“Koi baat nahi , ye lijiye aap chai pi lijiye , aur tayar ho jayiye, makeup artist bhi abhi ti hi hongi. Ham Aru aur kriti o aapke paas bhej dete hai.” Said Nandini with a wide smile and she left the room. Devyani closed the door and sat on the bed and quickly grabbed the tea cup and sipped tea. She felt a huge relief After sipping the tea. She dipped a biscut in tea and ate it. After having snacks she stood and went in the washroom to change, coming out she found someone knocking the door she went and opened the door found Aryanvi and Prakriti standing there
“Kya bhabhi maa kabse knock kar rahe the , kaha thi aap??” asked Aryanvi
“Wo ham change kr rahe the” Devyani
“Wese aapne makeup kar liya kya??” Prakriti
“NAHI TOH “ SAID Devyani
“Bhabhi jhoot mat boliye” Prakriti
“Are hamne sach mein makeup nahi kiya hai balki hame makeup karna ata hi nahi hai.”
“Sach mein?”
“Haan ham aapse jhuth kyu bolenge??” Devyani
“Bhabhi you are looking gorgeous!! That too without makeup ham toh kahenge aapko toh makeup ki bhi jarurat nahi hai” said Aryanvi getting shocked
“Accha aaiye yaha bethiye makeup artist bhi aa gayi hai” Aryanvi made her sit on the dressing chair
“Acche se makeup karna bhabhi ka…. And do keep it simple. It’s her special day she should look stunning” said prakiti…

“Maa kya hai ye sab??” Suryansh said irritatingly
“Surya shanti se khade rahiye” said Nandini making his sheravani proper.
“Haan ab kahiye kya hua??” said nandinistepping back after getting done with the work.
“Maa aapne hame kaha shadi kar lijiye, hamne karli pr ab ye sab kyaa hai???”
“Suryansh puliye mat abhi abhi 48hrs hone mein 5hrs baki hai, jab tak wo pure nahi hote, ham jo kuchg bhi kahenge aapko who karna padega” Suryansh sgined……….. _-----------------------------------
“Bhabhi aa gayi…” said Aryanvi looking at the Devyani who was dressed in a Maroon coloured gown with lose curls hair , nude lipstick , smoky eye look , a perfect matching simple jwellery along with the shadi ka choda she wore… she looked like a princess….. she was walking on the red carpet spreaded down. Suryansh was standing on the stage but he didn’t look at her at all. She came near the stairs of the stage.
“Bhai jaiye haath dijiye unhe apna” Saidd Aryanvi in his ears. He walked forward and extended his hand towards her and holded it until he came up and stood properly and making sure she is comfortably standing, he quickly leaved her hand . but even now, he did’n’t look at her.
There came many guests wished the newly married couple for their new life. Suryansh was forcefully smiling while Devyani was little nervous as the place was soo new for her. Nandini and othr family members were busy in looking after the guests. As the guests finished, Devyani quickly sat on the couch kept on the stage for them. Suransh too sat beside her. There was a pindrop silence between them. The voices of people talking and laughing was completely faded away from their ears.
