"Huff...huff..."

You run and run as if your life depended on it. Which, in this case, it does.

The once-lovely Japan you had known is now reduced to a graveyard. In every corner of the country, you can see corpses piling up in stacks, forming mountains.

Instead of people, monsters now venture, preying on the survivors and hunting for food. This would make some good horror, survival books if you weren't experiencing this in real life.

When did it all go downhill? Maybe since the Kamino Incident? Or ever since All Might retire? War this, war that, war here and there. You don't know. But it's safe to say everything leads back to All For One, the number one villain. That damn psycho, disfigured, potato-ass with his gang of man-child, also insane villains. F*ck them honestly.

F*ck the Meta Liberation Army who used the excuse of "MeTa hUmAns rIgHts" and "quirk FrEdOOm" to kill people.

F*ck the Hero Commission or whoever let the hero-in-training, literal STUDENTS, teenagers participate in the war.

And f*ck everyone for not trying to do something. During the war, all the battles were recorded and shown on television, and people shamelessly watched as TEENAGERS fought and died gruesomely. They acted like it was some kind of entertainment TV show, some circus. It disgusted you. And you were disappointed in yourself for you had also done nothing but watch as your brother got his quirk taken away and his dead body mutilated, on live.

Your idiot, stubborn, heroic brother, [B. Name], and your father, whom you hated so much, were caught in the crossfire and died a "hero's death" as they would call it. You don't agree. You think it was rather stupid to sacrifice your life in the name of heroism while leaving your loved ones behind.

Your mother, with no one to protect her, became the third victim in the family at the hands of the villains despite your efforts to keep her safe. After all, what could a quirkless girl with no training do?

All your family was murdered by those monsters. And you are about to become one yourself.

With the massive wars, the economy was destroyed, and food was stolen from the civilians. If they didn't die of murder, they would die of starvation. How long was it since you last ate? A single grain of rice couldn't even be found. You're surprised you are still alive with how exhausted and bloody you are.

But that's not the main problem. The main problem is that you are –

*SCREECH*

– chased by a Nomu right now, a terrifyingly large one. Despite how much you want to pass out and sleep right now, you keep running. You can't die like this. You can't, and you won't. Your mind is separated into two parts: one convinces you to keep living, for your parents, for your brother, and for your future. The other part just wants to give up, maybe then you can finally be reunited with your dear family. Isn't that what you want?

You don't know what side to listen to, but your adrenaline kicks in and forces your legs to continue running from the danger. But between an ordinary human and a flying, monstrous monster with multiple quirks, it is clear who will win. Of course, the latter. You know that full well, but if you die, you die trying. You ain't letting the sh*t eat you like the food served on a plate, standing still and waiting for your death. Going down that easily would be an attack on your ego.
