POV (yellow diamond)

I walk through the halls of the research facility that I had a few bismuth make and I look through an observation window to see how things are coming along with the peridot's that are working on a new project I wanted.

YD "pearl open the door I want to see how the project is going."

YP " of course my diamond."

Yellow pearl open the door and I make my way to the peridot I put in charge.

YD "peridot tell me how is project insectoid coming along."

I watch the peridot does the diamond salute and brings out a data pad another  peridot gives her.

Peri 1 "everything has gone according to plan my diamond. The only thing we seem to be having trouble with is the subject does not seem to be responding to any attempts at giving it orders."

I hm at the response I was given and start making my way to the examination room that holds subject insectoid. I look forward as pearl opens the door and I step into the examination room and look at the subject floating in a large glass tank.

YD "open it I want to see if what I'm told is true."

A different peridot runs over a presses a few buttons and the fluid in the tank is drained. Mechanical arms decent from the ceiling and open the tank and take out the subject and lays them on the floor where they lay motionless.

YD "stand subject insectoid now."

POV (yellow pearl)

I watch as my diamond commands the creature.

YP 'quite the interesting creature I wonder what it's purpose will be.'

I watch as the creature stands and look at the faces of the peridot's around me had unbelieving faxes as the creature responds to my diamonds authority.

POV (yellow diamond)

I am quite pleased with subject insectoid's following of my commands.

YD "I have a very important mission for you. Make sure not to fail."

I watch as subject insectoid nods and does the diamond salute and kneels before me.

YD "follow me."

I turn away from it and I walk to the doors of the examination room and I hear project insectoid following me. When we reach the door my pearl opens it for me and we begin making our way to pinks chambers.

POV (pink diamond)

I'm sitting on my throne watching the pebbles do their jobs and talk to each other when I hear my rooms door open and I see yellow.

PD "oh hello yellow is there something you need.

I watch as yellow steps into my room with her pearl and something else.

PD "what is that thing."

I point to the creature following yellow around like a lost pearl sticking by her side with every step she took.

YD "this is project insectoid I had a few peridots make for me as a gift for you pink. I thought you might need something to protect you if the other diamonds and myself are not there."

I look at insectoid fascinated with the way their form looks so different from any other gem.

YD "insectoid this is who you will be protecting. Make sure to follow all of her orders no matter what."

I watch as insectoid does the diamond salute and turns to me and bows their head.

PD 'the first of my court finally this means the other diamonds are finally seeing me as capable.'

POV (yellow diamond)

I see pink become excited as she jumps from her throne and runs over to insectoid and takes one of his many hands and she pulls him along and I hear her footsteps quiet until I can no longer hear them.

I turn away and go back to my court and begin working on my colonies.
