Iris's P.O.V

The ride home felt like I was on a roller coaster. My stomach started to become queasy from the sudden movements and stops. Even through all the nausea, Brendon still remained on my mind. I hope he didn't think the wrong thing when he heard Cole in the background.

"Where should I drop you guys off at?" Cole spoke up from the drivers seat.
"Oh um, 545 Lightway Ave." I mumbled.
"Alright. You guys doing okay back there?" Cole asked.
I looked over at Lia who now had her head leaned against the window, sleeping soundly.
"Yeah, we're good." I said, looking out my own window.

The street lights passed in a blur and my head was feeling heavier and heavier by the second. I eventually caved in and rested my head against the window as well. As soon as my eyes were about to close, I felt the car stop and Cole speak.

"We're here." He said as he turned his body around to look at both of us.
My movements were slow, so were my reaction times. I lifted my hand slowly over to Lia to try to shake her awake.
"Lia." I mumbled. "We're here."
I saw her lift her head up as if she had a newfound energy. I guess all she needed was a power nap. I unfortunately, didn't even get a chance to get my eyes closed.
"Here, let me help." I heard Cole from the drivers seat say.

I heard two car doors open and then shut loudly, making me lift my head up and right back down on the head rest. Shortly after, Cole was opening my door and helping me get out and to my feet steadily. He wrapped my arm around his neck and brought me up to the porch to my apartment as I dragged my feet. I heard some words exchanged between him and Lia but, I was too tired to let my brain process it.

Soon enough I could feel the cool breeze of my air conditioner hit my face. The coolness didn't make me more alert, in fact, it made me even sleepier. I then let my head lazily fall against the side of Cole's body. It was surprisingly... really comfortable.

I heard a door open and then felt the softness of my bed as it contorted to fit my body. I opened my eyes long enough to see Cole cover me up with my blanket and look down at me. My eyes slowly fluttered closed, and right before I let myself be completely taken over by sleep, I felt Cole push some of my hair out of my face and heard him say, "Sleep good. I'll check on you tomorrow."

The next morning, I woke up with a pounding headache and a sore body. I'm not sure what I did but, I was definitely feeling it now. I looked over to my left and noticed a bottle of water and some ibuprofen. Without question, I grabbed both of them and threw the pill into my mouth followed by the water.

As soon as I had the pill down, I looked over at my bedside table and grabbed my phone. When the screen turned on, it was lit up with texts and calls from Brendon. Ones like 'Are you okay?' 'Where are you?' And to my dismay, 'Who was that guy talking to you?'
