My first instinct when I saw the scene , was to run away , but my other stupid one was to go toward the "crime-scene" . I asked a policeman , who had quite a dumbstruck look on his face . I asked about what had occurred , and he replied, "A family had reported that a deceased family member had been buried here two weeks ago. They came to light candles on his grave and then came to know that there was nothing but an open empty coffin , alongside a burial hole . "Wow.", I said quietly to myself . I remembered about those stories that my grandma would tell me , and thought there must be a reason those uncomforting thoughts were always finding a place in my head . I forgot to think twice and I went to the path which I had already planned on going . As my pace kept increasing , so did my fear . Out of the blue , I heard a sinister laugh , one would hear if one would hear in a horror movie if he or she was being hunted down by a fiend , a demon or a mysterious tall man wearing a hockey mask with an unnecessarily large saw in his hands , trying to chop you into parts and sell you to a butcher . I felt a second tap on my shoulder . This time I was sure it was another human , or was it? I turned around slowly , breaking a sweat , and saw a disfigure , bruised and bloodied face , a face which was a result of my brutal car crash . His skin was pale yellowish – green . I then , for a fraction of a second , remembering our temp math teacher , Sir Suraj , somehow figured an equation that went like : "Mourning Family + Open empty coffin at cemetery = Vampire" . Right! He had to be a vampire , and for some reason , I was calmer than I thought I would be . This wasn't some Twilight vampire , but one that thirsts for blood and would do just aboput anything to get it . I somehow gussied up and backed off for a step or two , then ran as fast as my legs could carry me. I then realised I had "THE GIFT" . [To be continued...]
