'Ak, stop being a baby!' vamika was exasperated ,dealing with her brother who wouldn't stop sulking at her because she didn't finish eating her share of ten chocolate pancakes that he made for her.

'You eat junk food all the damn time but to eat chocolate millet pancakes with almonds is what pains you the most!' he scoffed dramatically, crossing his arms and sitting down beside her.

'Don't you think you should move away from me when you are angry with me?' vamika asked, barely containing her urge to pinch her little brother's cheeks.

Akaay in return just stuck his tongue out and virat smiled fondly looking at him from a distance recalling how much he resembled Anushka, not just in terms of looks but also mannerisms.

'Hey, look you are on the TV!' akaay gasped with excitement and Vamika's heart raced as she imagined her first ad finally being aired. She quickly said a silent prayer before turning to the screen, only to see a program about "Chimpanzee's funny reactions compilation" being played.

'YOU ARE SO DEAD, AK!' vamika shrieked, hurling everything within reach at him.

'Is it too much to ask for five minutes of peace in this house?' Anushka was deeply disappointed with her kids, who apparently stayed kids mentally.

The siblings created a ruckus by running around the house, throwing random stuff at each other and hurling abuses at the top of their voices.

Virat and Anushka were minding their own business not focussing on the noise until they heard a shattering sound followed by the kids going silent. Their hearts sank as they predicted what could it be.

They rushed to the drawing room and saw the kids picking up pieces of the broken flower vase, the one that Ritika made for them, the one that had Virat Anushka Rohit Ritika names painted by Rohit.

'What did you do!' Virat frantically tried arranging the collected pieces in sequence but his vison soon got blurred due to the tears that emerged from his eyes.

Anushka wrapped her arms around him, her own tears mingling with his. Her anger dissolved into a deep-seated sadness as she saw the children's terrified faces. She reached out, pulling them into the embrace, which they accepted with visible relief.

'We are so sorry. I know it doesn't matter what ever we say now. We made a mistake.' Vamika's voice cracked as tears of guilt seeped down her face.

Virat immediately wiped his tears and said, 'I got a bit over dramatic. It's alright. It doesn't even matter. They are not even present with us, so breaking a vase they gave us is no big deal. All that matters is that you guys are with me, you are my family and I don't want you to feel guilty for anything. Understood?'

Memories of his past, his people flashed across his mind and the final moments that he got to spend with them started haunting him.

'It's going to be alright. We'll -' Anushka stopped midway because even to comfort him, to say that "we'll find them" seemed so illogical.

And in that embrace, for the first time ever the kids got a closer look of what their parents were actually going through. They realised that beneath the chirpy, joyful exterior there was a part of their souls that was miserable, yearning for their dear ones.

All it took was one second of eye contact between the kids that let them know what they needed to do. Vamika took a deep breath and looked at Akaay, who nodded in agreement. They knew they had to do something to help their parents, something that would bring back the lost joy of their lives.

Anushka noticed her kids intense demeanors and tried changing the topic. 'I told you guys about my next film with Raha right-' she was relieved as that caught the kids attention who really loved Raha. She was so close to the Kohli's and really loved by them all but Virat and Anushka could never not imagine their Sammy in her place when she's hanging out with their kids.

Anushka kept chatting about the film and was glad that the intensity in the room has dried out but little did she know that her kids were only patiently acting and waiting for her to finish it so that they can start scheming.

'How about we hire a private investigator and find them?' Akaay felt like it was a genuinely good idea .

'Would work if we were to find them in the city. But we absolutely have no clue regarding where they are, they could literally be right in this city or probably in Antarctica, Uganda, um anywhere in the 195 countries. Even an entire organisation of private investigators won't be able to find them. This is not a James bond or mission impossible film' Vamika explained.

'And they aren't James bond or Ethan hunt as well.' Akaay stated.

'What do you mean?'

'I don't think they are experts in hiding. Someone would have definitely spotted them somewhere in all these years.'

'Probably. Oh we can try on social media through their hashtags. If someone would have spotted them, they might have most likely posted it.' Vamika immediately reached out to her phone and began going through the posts using #rohitsharma.

Akaay had began searching for any articles or news on them online.

'There's literally no news about them.' he stated defeatedly.

'And no recent posts on him as well.' vamika plopped onto the bed.

'That doesn't feel believable. Does it? I mean there must be some information on them right? Atleast his fans would have something to say about him right. How can there be literally nothing about him online?' Akaay sensed that it was unusual.

'Unless someone was deleting it. Probably they are tying way too hard to stay away from everyone. And in that case we won't be able to find them at all.' vamika said and the kids accepted their defeat, believing that Rohit's motive to stay hidden was stronger than theirs to bring them out of the dark.
