nika x reader ____________________________________ today was gameday meaning you had to be ready and at the arena hours before the game even started. you were a cheerleader for UConn, tonight the women's basketball team had a home game vs Villanova. You were on FaceTime with your girlfriend, nika while finishing up your cheer makeup before you had to head out, she was already at the arena since she was on the team.
"you look so good ma" nika said while staring at you through the phone. "Thank you my love" you said while spraying your setting spray all over your face. You put all your makeup in your makeup bag before heading to your door and picking up your cheer bag. "hey girly pop" you heard a voice from the phone. Looking down at your phone and seeing KK "hey bae" you said flashing a smile. " you on your way girly?" Kk said while walking around with nikas phone.
"yes I'm walking out right now boo" you said while putting your makeup back in your cheer bag. You grabbed your keys heading to the parking garage. " ok boo love you " kk said before handing the phone to nika. " love you too boo, see you in a few baby I love you" you said to nika, getting an "I love you"back before she hung up. ___________________________________ during game
Aaliyah was shooting her last free throws after a foul was called in the late 1st quarter. The shot goes In. Villanova boxes out UConn getting the rebound, as they were boxing out your girlfriend you watched one of the players legs collide with hers. Her almost instantly going down. You watched after she rollers back and forth on the ground. You're face sad it all with a small frown on it in your head all you could hope was that she was ok.
The team rushed to her side, surrounding her and asking if she was ok before a trainer came over to talk to her. She talked to them quickly with an upset look before the team and trainer helped her up. Nika walked over to the bench, while you watched with a frown. You wanted to go over to her and make sure she was ok so badly, but knew that would upset multiple people including your coach.
You watched her on the bench her giving you little looks while she was talking to the trainers. She got up flashing you a little smile trying to make you less worried. She looked over at you mouthing "don't worry" before waking into the tunnel. You watched the rest of the game from the sidelines, a little less worried knowing the outcome of her injury, you were glad she told you before she went to the locker room for the rest of the game. ___________________________________ after game
UConn won 67-46. After the game you immediately went to the cheerleaders locker room removing your makeup, and changing out of your cheer uniform into some UConn sweats and one of Nikas hoodies you had stolen. You walked outside of the locker room going down the hall and waiting outside of the Women's Basketball locker room. You waited outside a few of the girls walking out one by one or in groups, all of them greeting you or holding a small conversation. The doors opened again the person not coming out as soon as the door opened, you looked up from your phone seeing Paige holding the door open and nika waking out on crutches.
You walked over to the door going to give nika a light hug not wanting to hurt anything before grabbing nikas bag from Paige. " thank you pboogers, how bad is it?" You said faking dramatics but still worried "It's just strained she should be good by next game " Paige said giving you a hug knowing you were worried about your girlfriend. Paige pulled away before going over to nika and giving her a hug on the side that wasn't injured. " love y'all be safe" Paige said before walking away jogging to catch up with Azzi.
"hi baby, are you okay?" You said looking at nika who was looking at you with a smile. " I'll be fine my love, thank you for carrying my bag" she said as you both walked at a slow pace to your car so you could stay beside her. " I thought it was bad until you told me not to worry" you said, saying your worries. " I just have to walk on these until it feels a little better and ice it every night for a week, I'll be fine for next game" she said opening your door. Even crippled she was still a gentlewoman, you quickly put the bag in the back before running past nika to open her door for her. She flashes a smile before you walked to the drivers side driving to nikas dorm. ___________________________________ After you forced nika to her room so you could "help the crippled" you walked to the kitchen of the wbb dorm/apartment grabbing a bag of ice and water before waking back to nikas room. You opened the door seeing nika laying on bed watching some cartoon, "here baby put this on your hip" you said handing her the bag of ice. You then went to her nightstand grabbing her some Tylenol and handing it and the water bottle to her. " take this i know you said it still hurts" you said before laying down beside her, "thank you mama" she said pulling you slightly so your head was on her chest.
" your welcome babe, I love you" you said before giving her a kiss. She tried deepening the kiss but you pulled away "nope yk your crippled right now, don't start something you can't finish" you said smiling at her, if you weren't worried she would get hurt you definitely would've let it happen. You laid your head on her chest her arms wrapping around you tightly before you pulled the blanket over both of you. " goodnight I love you" you said " I love you baby goodnight" she said before kissing your forehead. ___________________________________
