Sana's POV

I'd make it a point to visit my aunt and Sunoo every week at their home. They were the first people I met when I arrived in Busan. I would always yearn for their company, maybe because they're the only family I have left.

My aunt has always been a source of my comfort. She encouraged me to move back and live with them permanently, but I had to decline because of Momo.

And besides, I'm afraid of being alone in the house. I'm afraid I'd be haunted by my own thoughts again.

Thankfully, Momo's constant chatter had become my distraction. I don't know when she'll run out of stories, but I hope she never does.

As I stepped inside the house, I was greeted by Sunoo, who was enjoying an early dinner. To my surprise, Taehyung was there too.

I was invited to join them at the table and we all began eating.

"I heard there are ghosts up where Momo lives. It's pretty far from here... Is it true? Can you sleep well at night?" Taehyung asked.

His silly questions caught me off guard, but I shook my head with a chuckle. "No, the place is peaceful. And if there were any ghosts, I'd leave immediately."

As we were eating, Taehyung suddenly sat up straight with a surprised expression on his face and he looked at me. "Ah, I remember... I didn't know you knew my friends in Seoul, Nayeon and Jin."

I blinked in surprise as I processed his words. "Y-you know them? Jin was my neighbor and Nayeon is his friend... Why?"

"They were my college friends," Taehyung explained. "They're in town now... they haven't called you yet? I think they're going to invite you to hang out tomorrow."

"M-me?" I stuttered, dropping my chopsticks.

Taehyung nodded and reached for his phone, "I hope you don't mind that I gave them your number..."

Just as he was about to tap on the screen, my aunt said, "No phones while eating!"

"Sorry," Taehyung quickly replied, putting his phone down. I chuckled at the scene.

"Sana, I'll pack some food for you later so you and Momo can eat, okay?" I nodded politely. "Thank you, omma."

I had grown accustomed to calling her, just like I used to. She told me that I called her omma before.

I figured that if I wanted to try to reclaim my old life, I should begin by making small changes every now and then.

When I got home, I went straight to my bedroom to take a warm shower. As I got out of the bathroom, drying my hair with the towel, my phone suddenly buzzed on the bedside table.

It was an incoming call from an unknown number.

Who could it be?

But then I remembered Taehyung telling me about Nayeon and Jin, saying he gave them my number because they wanted to give me a phone call. So I swiped my thumb across the screen without hesitation, answering it.

"Hello?"

A burst of sound filled the speaker ― a woman's voice, bright and cheery, echoing through the other line.

"Janna!!!" The voice called out my name, the enthusiasm in her voice was all too familiar. I could vividly remember the first time I met her outside my door wearing a bunny smile on her face.

"This is Nayeon! Seokjin's friend?"

"Yes, Nayeon! I remember you..."

"Of course, you do! Who would ever forget me?!" Nayeon's voice bubbled with excitement, a sound that seemed to vibrate across the miles. "Guess what? We're in Busan right now!"
