Making Memories, Party Planning

On June the 30th...

"Hey, everyone! Today is the day!" Liu Kang excitedly announced as he and his friends gathered around outside beside the big Hourglass.

"Let me guess... Is it the tournament today?" Johnny asked, figuring it out.

"No, you moron. It's Lady Usagi's birthday today." Kenshi said, giving him an annoying look.

"Oh... I see." Johnny chuckled nervously, scratching the back of his head.

"That's right. Today is Mom's birthday and we need the plan to make something special for her." Jake-Long said, thrilled.

"What should we plan to do for Lady Usagi's birthday?" Kenshi asked curiously.

"We need to surprise her on her birthday. I'll have Lord Raiden take her out while we'll have to decorate the birthday party here." Liu Kang said.

"Wait... Here in the Hourglass?" Johnny said, confused.

"Yes, Johnny. And don't forget that is Usagi's favorite place." Sonya said to her husband.

"Otherwise, we need to prepare fast," Kenshi said.

"We have to make sure Usagi doesn't see what we are doing," Kung Lao said as he stood beside his wife Minako.

"Yeah," Minako said, nodding in agreement.

"Okay, you guys. We have to decorate the party fast." Liu Kang said. Then he looked at the married couples, Kung Lao and Minako. "Kung Lao, Mina, I need you two to make a birthday cake."

"What? Why them? I mean... surely Aunt Minako doesn't know how to make a cake." Jake-Long said, worried about Minako's terrible cooking skills.

"Excuse me!? I know how to make a birthday cake! You'll see!" Minako scolded him.

"Jake-Long, just make sure you don't take her by the bad side," Kung Lao nervously said, chuckling.

Jake-Long gulped, now scared of Minako's wrath. "O-Okay..."

"I know how to make a cake, but trust me on this," Kung Lao said, grinning.

"I figured you taught Aunt Mina how to. I must say you were a great husband who helped her out." Sae-Byeok said, smiling.

"Why, thank you, Sae-Byeok," Kung Lao said, smiling at her.

Liu Kang looked at Johnny, Sonya, and Kenshi. "You three will have to help me decorate the birthday."

"We gotcha!" Johnny grinned as he gave Liu Kang a thumbs up.

"What about your kids? What would they do while we were busy while Raiden would take Usagi out like a father and daughter day?" Sonya asked curiously.

"Perhaps Sae-Byeok and Jake-Long need to spend time with their mother and their grandpa Raiden," Liu Kang said as he looked at his two children.

"That's why we should, Daddy," Sae-Byeok said happily.

Liu Kang placed his hands together. "Okay, everybody. Let's get started."

"Thanks for taking me out, Father," Usagi said as she walked beside her father.

Raiden smiled at his daughter. "I would do anything for my daughter since it's your birthday today."

She giggled in response.

"Yo, Mom!" Then Usagi was greeted by her kids.

"Oh, hey there, Sae-Byeok and Jake-Long," Usagi greeted her kids.

"What brings you two there," Raiden asked, smiling at his two grandkids.

"We only came here to hang out with you," Jake-Long said, grinning.

"Aw! That is sweet of you, the both of you!" Usagi exclaimed happily.

"Hey, Mom, would you like to get some ice cream? After all, it's your birthday." Sae-Byeok said.

"I would love to, Sae-Byeok," Usagi said happily.

"Grandpa, you want some as well?" Jake-Long asked.

He shook his head. "No, thank you."

"Okay. Guess it's just the three of us planning to eat ice cream." Jake-Long said before he would lead them to the ice cream store.

And so after they got themselves an ice cream, they eventually went home until...

"Surprise! Happy birthday, Usagi!" Everyone cheered happily,

Usagi widened her eyes in shock as she let out an excited smile. "Holy Moon Crackers!" She shouted, "Thanks, guys!"

"Anything for my wife," Liu Kang said as he placed a kiss on her right cheek.

"You guys did all of this for me?" Usagi asked.

"Yep. We wanted to surprise you on your birthday." Fujin said as he appeared immediately.

"So who wants some cake?" Minako asked as she brought the big birthday cake for everyone. It turned out she had excellent cooking skills when she knew how to bake a cake right because of her husband Kung Lao.

"Wow, Mina, I must say I was wrong about you. Kung Lao did help you out baking the cake." Jake-Long said, rubbing the back of his head.

"Gosh, guys. Thanks for the birthday surprises and a cake." Usagi happily embraced her friends and family.

"No problem, but we have one more surprise for you," Minako said, grinning.

"And what is that?" Usagi asked.

"I'm pregnant!" Minako revealed.

"What!?" Everyone said in shock.

"No kidding, Mina! Me, too! I'm pregnant as well!" Usagi exclaimed happily.

Then everyone, except Raiden, exclaimed in surprise before they collapsed to the ground. Minako was just standing there, shocked.

"Mom's pregnant again!?" Jake-Long said in shock.

"Wow, Usagi! I can't believe it...! We're gonna have another one!" Liu Kang cried out happily as he hugged his wife, making sure he didn't hurt her and the baby.

"Raiden, how come you're not surprised?" Kung Lao asked with a curious look.

Raiden smiled. "I already knew Usagi was having a child since she told me the news."

"I see," Fujin said.

"So does everyone want cake?" Minako asked.

"We would love to. Let's have some fun." Usagi said.
