Have you seen...?

Dizzy from all the twists and turns the cloaked figure dragged you through, you open your eyes to the interior of a familiar boat, Redd's boat. Amberstar's news often broadcasted warnings regarding the thing and its steerer, but you only stepped aboard once or twice out of curiosity.

The scene set in front of you is quite odd though, the cloaked figure had sat down on a stool, Redd was in the front seat running the vessel, and another person had their head turned down but looking right at you. You turn your head to the nearest window and see your home of the last 3 years slowly drifting away.

Before you have time to question, the cloaked being uncovers itself, and your eyes lay upon the one beneath the mystery. She had purple hair styled into bangs and a ponytail. The gem glares back at you with fierce smokey-colored eyes.

"So just like the others I've seen, well I'm glad we got you out of there"

You're puzzled, before quickly realizing that...this girl wasn't speaking "animalese" like your neighbors, or "bleepese" as you would usually speak, yet the sound was familiar. You open your mouth to speak.

"Oh by the way," the girl interjects, "You can speak English here".

You understand what this girl is saying completely, it feels so natural, at least more natural than waiting for a pop-up to tell you everything your neighbors are saying.

"Huh?" is all you manage to get out. This is the first time you've heard your voice in what feels like ever.

Eventually, you ground yourself and ask, "Why did you take me from my home?"

"Have you ever seen glitches in the grass?", the girl urgently spat.

The person behind the girl then catches your attention, as he is now holding a phone. The brightness of his screen illuminates his face, allowing you to see his green hair and eyes. He faces the phone toward you.

What he shows is a video of two patches of grass overlapping one another alternatively. You would notice this on your island, but you didn't think much of it.

    "Yeah, I've seen that before."

The girl makes eye contact with you and moves closer before whispering in your ear,

    "That's why".
