(AI image don't hate me just to help you picture a setting like this closest to my vision) This is the story of a girl who, with the help of her friends, discovers where she came from, and the story of an incredibly powerful kingdom, Taon, which was powered by, let's say, the world's greatest battery, The Nexus, said to grant its owner immense power. Cool, right? Well, until The Nexus vanished and Taon disappeared—poof—off the face of the earth. Confusing, I know; you're not the only one who thinks so. This brings us to our story where our girl, Alissa, is on her journey to figure out this great mystery.

"Melissa, please," Amira had pleaded, her voice breaking. "You have to take her. I don't have much time. They're after me."

Melissa's heart pounded as she took the baby from her friend's trembling arms. "Amira, what's going on? Who's after you? I can't care for a baby!"

"The Iron Sentinel," Amira whispered, eyes wide with fear. "I've discovered something, something they don't want anyone to know. Alissa is special, Melissa. Protect her. Promise me."

"I promise," Melissa said, tears streaming down her face as she watched Amira disappear into the night, never to be seen again.

I stood at the edge of the small town of Windrip, my eyes reflecting the early morning light. At sixteen, I had always known there was something different about me. From a young age, I could shape and create light with a mere thought, a gift that both fascinated and isolated me from the other townsfolk.

Windrip was a quaint town, with cobblestone streets and blooming gardens, where everyone knew each other. It was a peaceful place, but I felt a restless energy inside me, a longing for something more. I often spent my days exploring the surrounding forests and hills, practicing my abilities in secret. My dreams were filled with thoughts of adventure, of discovering new lands and uncovering ancient mysteries.

Ever since I was a little girl, I had been fascinated by the stories of the ancient kingdom of Taon and the legendary treasure, the Nexis. My caretaker, Melissa, would read me tales of brave adventurers who sought the Nexis, a treasure said to grant immense power to its owner. The Nexis had once sustained Taon, but it vanished without a trace, leading to the kingdom's downfall. I would sit wide-eyed, declaring, "When I grow up, I will find the Nexis and become super famous!"

Melissa would always smile at my enthusiasm. "One day, the whole world will know your name," she would say, encouraging my dreams.

On the morning of my sixteenth birthday, I woke up with a sense of purpose. I knew today was the day I would leave Windrip and begin my adventure. As I dressed, memories of my childhood flooded back—climbing trees to get a better view of the horizon, pretending to sail the seas in search of the Nexis, and practicing my light abilities to one day aid me in my quest.

Melissa was waiting for me in the kitchen, a small, knowing smile on her face. "Happy birthday," she said, handing me a steaming mug of tea.

"Thank you," I replied, my heart pounding with excitement. "I've decided. I'm ready to leave today. I'm going to find the Nexis."

Melissa nodded, her eyes glistening with both pride and concern. "I knew this day would come. I've been preparing for it." She led me to a small chest in the corner of the room. Opening it, she revealed a map, a glowing stone, and a necklace with a pendant shaped like a star.

"These belonged to my parents," she said, her voice soft. "They were adventurers too, always searching for the Nexis. This map might help you find it, and this stone... well, it has a power of its own. Keep this necklace close to your heart; it was my mother's."

I took the items reverently, my eyes shining with determination. "Thank you," I said.

Melissa embraced me tightly. "Remember, one day you'll face dangers and challenges beyond your wildest dreams. People may fear you or seek to use you. Stay strong and true to yourself. And always know that one day, the whole world will know your name."

"I promise," I whispered, tears welling in my eyes.

With a final hug, I packed my belongings into a small bag. As I walked out the door, Melissa called after me, "Find your destiny! Make us all proud."

The sun was just peeking over the horizon as I set off down the dirt path leading away from Windrip. The light from my hands illuminated my way, a symbol of the journey I was about to undertake. I didn't know what lay ahead, but I felt ready to face whatever challenges awaited me. With the map and glowing stone as my guide, I ventured into the unknown, my heart filled with hope and determination.

My spirit soared as I took my first steps into the wider world. The thrill of adventure coursed through my veins, and I knew deep down that this was just the beginning of an epic journey. As Windrip faded into the distance, I glanced back one last time, a smile on my face. I whispered to myself, "Here I come, world. Get ready to know my name."
